Big Bubba’s was the first place I tried when I moved to the area. It’s your excellent standard fast/American food and it’s about as great as you’d expect. I tried a burger, onion rings and deep fried pickles. All of them were excellent. The place is a lot like Dick’s Drive-Ins in Seattle if you know what I mean. The only reason I don’t give it five stars is I felt it was a little pricey for what it was and though the food was great, it wasn’t five star worthy to me. With that said, it’s excellent choice for food in that little town and it’s a great place to grab a quick bite. Also their deep fried pickles are amazing!

Well, years ago and different management, I would have given 5 stars. We went on Saturday, August 15th around 6:30 pm. My cheeseburger had great flavor. The meat to bun ratio was off, I had ¼ of an empty bun left over. My peanut butter banana milkshake was missing the peanut butter. The onion rings were good. If I happen to be in the area I’d stop but definately not make a special trip to go.

Got a raw sushi burger from this place did not find out till it was opened at home! Disgusting and I believe against the health code. Is this typical of this place? I wonder what else goes on? See my pic in the photos! One star minus! Stop at Klay’s burgers shack best burgers ever just of highway 3 on Pickering road on the way to Harstine island. Amazing place and no I don’t own it or work there. Thanks for reading this!

Good greasy spoon burger joint. We went there after a long weekend, and the staff was very friendly, the food came quickly, good portions, and it was very good.

Read a lot of mixed reviews on this place before I went, so I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I drove the 161 miles to get there(and another 161 to get home) and was not disappointed. I was going to Allyn, WA to have fun with a town named after me anyway, so it’s not like I drove all that way JUST for a burger. Well, at least not this time anyhow. The line wasn’t too bad; maybe 3 people ahead of us. Took less than 5 minutes until it was my turn to order. I got the Double Cheeseburger and a small fries. I probably should have payed more attention to the included toppings, since I don’t really like pickles, but that’s not their fault. Got my food in a very reasonable amount of time and sat down to enjoy my classic american meal. The fries were some of the best I’ve had in a long time. They’re perfect dipping fries, especially if you’re weird like me and like to dip your fries in your milkshake.(I’ll have to try that next time since I neglected to order one this trip.) The burger was cooked perfectly and smothered in delicious cheese. I only wish I had gotten it with bacon.(Oh well, sounds like an excuse to go back.) A lot of the reviews I’ve read criticize the thin patties on the burger, and rightfully so. They were a little thinner than I would expect, but that’s not going to stop me from ordering another one anytime soon. I would definitely recommend Big Bubba’s for anyone travelling thru this part of Washington state. I already know what I’m going to order next time, and I have to drive nearly 3 hours to get there. Road Trip!

From this cash-only, roadside stand in Allyn, WA you would expect a great burger. Well Big Bubba didn’t disappoint. From the retro style of the menu board offering the classic burgers, fries, onion rings and shakes(with things like corn dogs, hawaiian burgers, etc) to the signage, it is classic Americana. We ordered 2 burgers which come deluxe style(lettuce, tomato, onion, special sauce and pickles) plus fries and onion rings. Each bite was better than the last. Fries were crispy and seasoned well. The O-rings were perfect and the burgers… well you get the idea. If you are ever driving down Highway 3 in Mason County, swing by. But don’t go fast or you will miss it!

Went back here to try the food again. This time I called ahead, when I got there there was a few people waiting and one guy ordering. He took a few minutes to order. When he was done I got my food right away. The food was really good, the onion rings were so delicious. The only problem was that I had ordered 3 burgers, fries and onion rings, I am literally 2 minutes away from here, so when I got home the fries and rings were still very warm, but the burgers were cold. Very cold. Not even close to warm. They were good burgers too,(at least mine was) but would have been much better even just warm. Would have given a 4 or 5 star but warm fries and cold burger? No Bueno.

Well… I find it really hard to check in here or leave a review because there’s absolutely no cell service. I say that with lighthearted amusement… It’s actually kind of nice that when we go here’s a family no one can use their cell phone. :) Really though… We absolutely love Bubba’s Burgers. My favorite burger is the Hawaiian with grilled jalapenos added on. It’s super delicious… Honestly, it’s just a little bit spicy because they grilled jalapenos so they become more sweet than hot. We have never had an experience here that we didn’t enjoy. We visit with our friends, we visit with our kids, and leave even come to Bubba’s for a date night. The service is always pleasant(as pleasant as can be expected been speaking through a window) and the property, under its new ownership, is well-kept and clean. My boyfriend finally tried the 1 pound burger… He was extremely full afterwords, but said it was just as delicious as all of their other burgers, but way bigger. I cannot relate to the reviews that say that the patties are tiny or that they appear to of been previously frozen… I know that they use fresh beef and the patties on our burgers have always been great. I really can’t recommend this roadside stop highly enough. It’s worth the time, and worth the dollars.
