The soft serve the last couple of times seemed like the machine had not been cleaned frequently enough.(I worked at an ice cream stand summers when I was in college, so I know) This was never a problem before D & S bought the place. And the previous owners used Upstate Farms soft serve mix, which is probably the best on the market, but I don’t know if they still do. We don’t go here much since we experienced the bad soft serve and they started posting right wing political signs.

A cute ice cream shop in a rural setting with outdoor seating surrounded by flowers. They have soft serve ice cream as well as many flavors of hard ice cream. There are not many businesses that I can see in this town so I am pleased to see that this one is doing well.

Can’t believe these Mom and Pop type of places still exist. We’ve been here twice — once by accident and another time we left the highway on purpose to seek this place out again. It was that good. And it’s only a five minute detour off of 86⁄17 heading towards Alfred College so it was worth the short detour. The ice cream is «Perry’s.» Must be a local brand ’cause we don’t have it in NYC. The butterfat content is unbelievable. The ice cream tastes so rich. Quite a few flavors to choose from and they have soft serve custard too, but opt for the ice cream. Also the serving size is huge. I got two scoops and could barely finish them, but the kids had no problem polishing off their’s. Very reasonable prices for the size you get. Haven’t had the BBQ but a few people were having it when we stopped by. It looked good. I think a full rack of ribs was $ 18. There is a lovely man with curly white hair who’s at the window filling orders. He’s pleasant and charming. We’ll be back.
