I stopped in just to look at antiques and found a wonderful coffee shop as well. The service is always with a smile and the atmosphere is really different than any coffee shop in the city. The selection is varied and there are sugar free coffees drinks too. Finally a good selection for the diabetic customer! The frozen coffees are my favorites. Love the hazelnut yummmm. The mill, it’s menu and great service have made me a regular when I am in town. Back in Almont today as usual excellent service and the best coffee! Usually sugar free fraps taste sugar free not here wonderful flavor I bet I could fool anyone into thinking they are having a real sugar loaded frozen coffee. Again hazelnut is my favorite!

I grew up in Romeo and my in-laws live in Grand Haven, so when we’re home visiting we usually end up driving between the two towns, which brings us right through downtown Almont. I’d seen a write-up in the Observer then noticed how cute it looked when driving by on so many occasions. So finally a couple years ago my mom and I stopped in to check the place out. Pleasant surprises. I knew it was an antique shop but didn’t know it was a café’ also. Nice atmosphere, good coffee, nice conversation, and interesting merchandise. If I lived in the area I’d go back often. Update 6÷13÷08 — stopped in the other day while passing through town. Had a delicious smoothie and some tasty baked goods. Also noticed they have a used book store upstairs — didn’t have time to wander, but it looks cool.
