Went rafting on the upper Taylor and had a blast! Our guide Vito was knowledgable and made everybody feel safe and included. I reccomend wearing the jacket and pants they provide as the water is very cold! Will definitely come back again!

Went down the lower Taylor River with Jon as our raft guide, great guy, experienced, and very friendly! Then ate lunch on the outdoor patio. Our server has Brinley, she was very nice and friendly too. The food was great and reasonable priced. I will definitely be returning.

When you are in Almont, Colorado, you are kind of stuck between Three Rivers and the competitors across the highway. I’ve not been to Almont in a few years but I am familiar with Three Rivers from many prior years of excellent service. This trip, however, was a disappointment as the help at the fishing counter was minimal. In asking for help with the best flies to use on the East River, he was unknowledgeable. In asking about buying a spinning rod, which looked to be a child’s rod(I was desparate as the cabin I visited no longer had spinning rod equipment.) he said it was not a child’s rod and customers had not reported any complaints about it.(Woa to me though, as I discovered upon returning the cabin after purchase that it was in fact a «youth spinning rod».) I’ll be headed across the highway to the competitors, next summer…

We had a blast rafting on the Taylor River with Ry. They did a great job and this was the best rafting experience we’ve ever had. They were very professional and made sure we enjoyed our trip. I highly recommend them!

Very nice cabins on the Taylor river. The cabins were very clean, well maintained and updated. And at a good price. We loved sitting in the hot tub over looking the river. We will definitely will come back.

If I visit Crested Butte or Gunnison, I always stay at 3 Rivers Resort. It is quaint and affordable, and situated in between the two towns(although a little closer to Gunnison). You can upgrade to a cabin with newer amenities and a hot tub, or you can stay very inexpensively in a small studio cabin. I love that I can bring my dogs, it makes a weekend get away to the mountains much more do-able. WiFi is limited and the TVs only get 6 channels or so, but it’s the perfect combo of camping and mountain retreat. Each cabin has it’s own outdoor space with a fire pit and a bbq, as well as a fully furnished kitchen. This can really help you stay out of town and enjoy the scenic Taylor Reservoir area without needing to go into town. I highly recommend it.

Stayed here with another couple and it was pretty nice, I would recommend staying here. We stayed in a two bedroom cabin right on the river, the place comes equipped with a small but sufficient kitchen and living quarters, additionally there is a large enclosed patio with another exposed patio with a grill, table and hot tub. The cabins are fairly close by so if you are looking for an intimate wilderness experience, this isn’t it, but if your looking for a cool place to relax, hot tub with friends, fish and have fun, then this may be the place for you. The resort has a small convenience store and a restaurant on site. We stayed here for a chili and beer festival that was up in Crested Butte and it was perfect. We were able to take our dogs with us which was HUGE. The down side to that is the resort had signs posted everywhere that there were specific areas for your pet, but vague as to where they were and the convenience store did not carry pet bags-so if your out, good luck, drive another half hour somewhere to get them. I would recommend this place, it was perfect for what we needed. The place was clean and really easy to get to, no confusing roads to take and really close to other attractions.

Good time on the river. We did the lower Taylor float trip because we wanted to enjoy the views and look for wildlife instead of concentrating on staying in the boat. We were rewarded with sightings of bighorn sheep chilling on the cliffs above us. Amazing. Nice, knowledgeable guide who filled our heads with stories of bears. Wear sunscreen!

We did the Upper Taylor extended rafting trip. Felt very safe along the trip and our guide was friendly and skilled. We wish he would have had more local tidbits to throw in along the the trip to make up for the silence on our boat during the tame sections of the river. Only downside was the watergun fights between the boats during a few sections. Not fun with no sun and intermittent rain. The resort itself looked to be a place where you have a good time and get into some trouble. Which is great!
