Love this place. I had a delicious Cuban sandwich(the big papi). Will definitely be back!

Yum! Excellent service and delicious food. We came in for dinner and he was really busy! I ordered the Monte Cristo, the PB&J for my daughter and for dessert ordered the one that tastes like banana cream pie, can’t remember the name, but got the Triple Play instead(didn’t notice till we got home that I got the wrong thing). Now, why do they still get a 5 star review even though I didn’t get what I ordered? Simply because a) he’s human and is allowed to make mistakes, and considering how busy he was, I’ll let is slide(SAFE!) and b) it was still amazing! The Monte Cristo was made with great ingredients, real turkey and ham, and what tasted like a homemade strawberry jam. So good! I’d love to say my daughter devoured her PB&J, but she’s 2, and complicated, and if she’s having a PB&J sandwich, it better look like a good olé regular one! So yeah, she didn’t even touch it, however, my husband really enjoyed it later as a snack. Which turned out to be great for me, because I was gonna save half of the dessert for him, but it was so good I gobbled it all up myself(minus one bite, I at least let him try it, I’m a good wife). Definitely coming here again. Oh, and they have punch cards! Buy 9, 10th is free! Woohoo!

Ordered an MVP(their signature«Baconsausage», fried egg, and American cheese waffle sandwich) and a Home Plate(waffle and egg smothered in Baconsausage gravy) with a side of hash browns. The speed of service was good, and the food was definitely tasty. The waffles themselves are plain if well made. They were offering a special of Philly cheesesteak waffles, which I admit smelled delicious as well.

Decent food, but nothing outstanding enough to earn a 5 star. My biggest complaint is that the waffle was plain so it simply functioned like a piece of white bread in a sandwich, which means it’s not really about the waffles anymore. So in the sausage/egg/cheese waffle sandwich, the plain brown waffle didn’t add anything to the taste. The one exception, and the reason I give 4 stars instead of an average 3, was the Mac Daddys sandwich($ 6.50) — here the waffle was literally grilled mac and cheese. That’s an awesome idea. And then you can have bacon and sour cream in the middle and have a unique, awesome combo.

Good stuff, not as heavy as you would think a waffle sandwich is. We got the mpv and the bacon sausage was great.

What a great secret find! I had to be on an extended stay in Portland for work and needed to drop off laundry at the fluff and fold — the closest one we found to the hotel we were staying in was in Aloha — THEBONUS was there was a food truck court that had 3 or 4 trucks and we scored. We had, at the suggestion of the very nice person working the window — the Homerun — not on the menu — which was served with a homemade gravy. My son had the Monte Cristo — again light savory waffle and delicious combo of ham and cheese. The next day we went back to retrieve the said laundry — we had 2 MacDaddy’s which is basically mac & cheese pressed as a waffle with bacon. Ahem. would be worth the drive from Vegas just to have this again. Super nice people. very reasonably priced and even a cute little share seating area to accommodate the ampleage.

Still the best! You can’t go wrong with any of the selections here. My faves are the Montecristo and the MVP. The service is equally great, I have been coming here for over a year and they never disappoint. Keep up the good work!!!

My good friend moved to Oregon back in 2015 and we’ve been visiting him for his birthday every year since. This waffle place is the one place I need to stop by anytime I am in Oregon! All of their food is prepared upon order so it is as fresh as can be. Been here twice and was impressed both times. I would recommend this to anyone near the area.

2 main reasons to go to Oregon: 1) tax free 2) FOOD!!! We Unilocaled a place for breakfast and Batterup came up. This place is great!!! We ordered their special, banana foster along with the MVP and the Homeland. All of the orders were so yum! The eggs in the Homeland and MVP were cooked perfectly, not too runny and not overcooked(because you might as well eat cardboard if you like overcooked eggs). The banana foster was not too sweet and the ice cream was QUALITY! To add on top of the great foods, the service was great! The owner is so nice! Highly recommended if you are in the mood for good breakfast :)

This place deserves the 5 star rating for the food and service! This place is delicious! We ordered the HomeRun(not on the menu.) basically it’s a MVP with their homemade sausage gravy! Yes that gravy is to die for! Big chunks of sausage which they get from a local butcher shop! I have ordered the Mac Daddy. Which is a Mac & Cheese waffle with bacon, sour cream, and chives. WOW! It’s so good and unique! We have had a few other things on their menu and we have never been disappointed! A tip: Cone here on a rainy day and get double stamps! But 9 and get one free!

Loved the waffle sandwiches here! We had the MVP, the Ace, and a Waffie Pie. All were delicious. Definitely recommend the peanut butter filling on the waffie pie. Service was friendly and we got our food super fast because we were the only ones there at the time. We’ll be back for sure! Thanks :)

A food cart dedicated to waffles. Sounds pretty cool, so I had to try it out after the kids raved about it. I tried the monte cristo as I really didn’t want to do more breakfasty meal. It was ok to me, but I think I should have gone the breakfast route. I wanted to try the gravy that others rave about and asked for a sample, unfortunately for me, it was later in the day and they were out. Haven’t made it back yet to try it. However, I do plan on making return trips, just haven’t done it yet.

The Monte Cristo was epic. Very filling and super tasty. We drove around hunting for the food cart. It was well worth the search. Yum.

Ok, yumm! I had the fall classic(pumpkin spice waffle with candied nuts and maple syrup), Andrew had the winter special(waffle with apple cider, apples, and syrup) and we split a Mac daddy(waffle with Mac n cheese, sour cream, green onions and bacon — on the side). I wolfed my pumpkin spice waffle, that’s why there isn’t a picture, but the other two are shown. Obviously we didn’t have a problem eating any of it, but we really could have or should have done without the third waffle. We were happy we tried it on this rainy night. Waffles for dinner turned out to be a great idea!

First time here. And the owner John asked me to write a review online about the Fall Classic. The smell and aroma was so delicious, I couldn’t wait to dive into the waffle and the taste is out of this world. Great place and service. Love this place. Not too sweet but not bland either, just the blend of perfection. I had a taste of the Home Plate too, and the sausage gravy is delish. Wouldn’t mind coming here again. And to be honest, better than waffle window! I think I found my favorite waffle joint!(;

This place was tasty and the owner was pleasant! Prices were super reasonable but portions not very big. Good selection of choices and we were tempted to order dessert after dinner but opted out based on wait time. There was four of us and we all got something different. Three of the four sandwiches we’re really good and had great flavor! The sandwich with the bacon sausage however disappointed. The sausage had a bad flavor and didn’t live up to our expectations. We will go here again. Definitely for dessert. Be prepared for a long wait when you go. There were not really a lot of people in front of us but we had to wait about 20 minutes after ordering.

The nice thing about living in the PDX Metro Area is there seems to be a never ending supply of food carts and food trucks trying to outdo each other. This gives someone like my wife and I, a chance to try a lot of different foods. Some hit, some miss. Fortunately, my culinary background had given me a good eye, and a good nose, and I pick out more hits than misses. Today we hit Batter Up for the first time today, and I picked out another hit, and as far as I was concerned today, they hit a homer. I had The Big Papi, a Cubano sandwich with sliced ham, pulled pork, mustard, pickles and Swiss cheese all nestled in nicely between two freshly made waffles(waffles are clearly the gimmick here, but they are good). For the $ 6 I paid, the sandwich filled me up, everything was fresh, and I didn’t feel cheated in any way by it. It was just good. My wife had the Monte Cristo sandwich which consisted of ham, turkey, Swiss cheese in cinnamon French toast cooked on the waffle with a side of strawberry jam, and you cannot forget the dusting of powdered sugar. Not my favorite type sandwich to begin with, but it was still quite tasty, and according to my wife, more than feeling. So that is two items off the menu, and both were very well made, and very much worth the money. I will certainly be going back for more, as their desserts, and their breakfast offerings look like something right up my alley.

Delicious. This food cart in the back of the parking lot on the corner of TV Hwy and 185th is one of several new carts that popped up in this little corner. It offers up a different taste from the taco truck fixtures(which are equally as good). The main feature is waffles. It might appear to be more of a breakfasty place but it offers other sandwiches like Monte Carlos or dessert like a Banana Split. There is also the lovely addition of Root Beer or Orange Cream Floats. Mmm… I didn’t order this at this current visit but it will be at the next visit. I ordered the MVP which is a bacon and sausage patty concoction with egg and cheese(?) between two waffles. I had it sans syrup but I bet it would have tasted delicious. You can order the same with country gravy and that’s called a Grand Slam. The sweetheart had that and he LOVED it. This is a good place to stop for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The wait can be a little long, this is a one-man team(that I am aware of) but that’s a given for good food. Seating is available to the side and I encourage just hanging out while dining. It makes my heart happy when food brings people together.

So, I have a habit of stopping at Flavour Spot on Lombard when I’m on the east side. I like waffles. Somewhere in my garage is my waffle iron… but I like them best when other people make them for me. We also like waffles at Bertie Lous in Sellwood… but thats a little far these days. Imagine my happiness when Cheryl D. Wrote a 5 star review of this waffle truck on the west side. Amen. Dragged my friend there today around noon. No line. Empty clean picnic table under an awning. Armed with espresso purchased elsewhere we settled on an Ace(bacon, egg, cheese, syrup) and a Monte cristo(ham, turkey, Swiss, strawberry jam) $ 6.50 each. What a deal. And went halfsies. Both were really flavorful. Perfectly cooked. Honest. And ready lickety split after ordering, too. I liked the wafting scent of laundry soap from the laundromat across the way too. Added to the ambience. The lady explained their bacon sausage to me(I asked what it was made out of). Ponderosa Provisions grinds pork and bacon for them to produce it. Will have to try that next time. The man gave us a punch card. Rainy days, he told us, are two punch days. Cool. Soon the hot dog place next door will open and their truck says espresso so maybe we can access that there when we are getting our waffles here. I think you ought to try them. The waffles are the bomb.
