I’ve been coming here for years even before the recent temporary closing. As far as taste the food has been very consistent and I’m never dissatisfied with my meals. My husband loves their pad see ew. We travel all over the metro Atlanta area for Thai food and he claims the pad see ew at Dee Thai is the best he’s had. We also enjoy the Thai spaghetti and pad Thai! We’re just thankful that there is descent Thai food close to our home! Its very convenient and our wait is never long!

Food was ok but service was below average. Paid very little attention to their customers and they actually asked me and my friend to leave because they needed the table! Felt rushed and unappreciated.

Great restaurant !!! Beautiful atmosphere in a nice small setting. I ordered something simple which was the red curry with chicken. I thought it was well cooked in flavor and spice and I enjoyed it very much. Will definitely return.

I have been there for lunch 5 times in the last 6 months. Great lunch bargains. Went there earlier this week and had the best Coco Chicken soup I have had in a long time.(Free with lunch entrée) Not too creamy and sweet, like a lot of Thai restaurants in the area make it… yuck. I had to add a little chili sauce to make it tickle the back of my throat, but it was as good as the old Satay House soup.(We were die hard Satay House fans until the last 5 years or so when everything there got bland.) The soup at Dee Thai was even as good as Surin’s. Panang is great. Noodle dishes are great. Green curry looks a little odd, but tastes great to. I ordered my noodles here«Thai Hot» once and it was way too hot for me. I am bringing my family back and hopefully we will make it a habbit, like the old Satay House.

My husband and I went here for the first time about two weeks ago. Their yellow curry with chicken is delicious. The other stuff we ordered was average but still good. We made a to go order. They actually had to run out after us because they gave us the wrong to go bag. We were thankful they figured it out before we left the parking lot. They were nice about it and it was just a mistake. We probably should have checked the bag ourselves before we left. We will return for their yellow curry.

Visited on a quiet Wednesday night. We were one of three tables dining in on that evening. I ordered panang chicken and we got another tofu dish as well as an order of spring rolls. The spring rolls were good, the tofu+noodles combo looked good(didn’t try it), but the panang was average at best. I wasn’t a fan of the way the chicken was cooked, as it turned out rubbery and unappetizing. The interior is decent, nothing spectacular. The staff is courteous and the only thing that I would suggest is printing the suggested tips on a receipt instead of writing the values in at the bottom of a guest check. Most places I have been to that have suggested tip amounts on receipts start with 12% or 15% and then go higher, so I felt that only including suggested tips of 18% and 20% is an ambitious move. It wasn’t my first time eating here and probably won’t be my last since it is a convenient location, but it isn’t somewhere I would bring people to be wowed.

I have been eating at this place for years! There food is always consistent and delicious. The various curries are fantastic, nom tuk/sod also excellent. Since the pad Thai is my favorite, it’s what I usually get but the entire menu has some thing for everyone that loves Thai food. Oh yeah the cheese are insanely good! Just sayin.

My favorite local thai place. The green curry has amazing flavor. They may add a little green food coloring to it(cop out) but it still tastes authentic. Pad see ew is always a good choice. Soups and appetizers are also on point. Overall a good place to eat.

I am regular customer ordering take outs almost biweekly since 4 years. I craved thai food during my pregnancy. Now my lil one loves Thai food! He wudnt eat any stir fried food, esp fried rice from outside. But with Dee Thai he proved us wrong as the basil fried rice was cooked to perfection and had ordered it mild. So impressive! Plz ask them to add less spice as thai hot is just way too hot to handle even for spice eating people like me who is not a local.

We ordered take out, drunken(basil) noodles which was pretty good and nice portion size but the chicken green curry was horrible! They literally put green food coloring to make it green. I mean even the chicken was green. It would probably glow in the dark. Aside from looking unappealing it was bland and had no flavor at all. We also ordered coconut soup which was ok but I’ve had better, it was watered down and didn’t taste like coconut. Not going back here again… ever.

They used to be really good, but I guess they changed their chef a while back and he can never get the spice level right. hot is as bad as thai hot and then sometimes medium is extremely hot or completely bland. And they have salmon on their menu but never have it when we order. It used to be packed but now there are only a few sparse tables when ever I go to pickup. Think it’s time to get a better chef and servers or close shop.

We have never eaten inside the restaurant however, this is our go to Thai place for take out. We love the nam sod, and have tried several curries and always have been pleased. Glad we found this place!

Sad that I’m writing this, because Dee Thai(once upon a time) was always a 5-star spot for me for lunch during the business week. This place is falling. It’s like the success has gone to their head and now(IMO) they don’t really value their customers. Today I went solo for lunch and wasn’t even greeted when I walked in as there were only two servers in a full restaurant. So I sat myself. After a few minutes a female server came with a glass of water and left(even though I was ready to order). A few minutes later a male server came and took my order(Panang Curry). Took longer than usual to get the coconut soup… which was good as usual. But when my order came, it was lukewarm at best. Definitely not enjoyable. So mentioned it to the male server who took my plate and gave it to the female server. I’m thinking they’re going to make a fresh order until I heard him told her to put it in the microwave for a couple of minutes. Really!!! I think I was more upset that he said that out loud instead of discretely. A few minutes later, my plate is re-presented to me and you can tell that it was microwaved from the edges of the curry sauce and the burnt smell of the rice. So to avoid eating that rice I asked for a side of rice, that’s been free in the past. So I had a combination of hot fresh rice and microwave panang curry. Not what anyone should get from a restaurant. On a sidenote: There was another employee there… must have been the cook because he kept coming into the eating area with a dirty white apron on as if he was checking on the scene. One time, he came out with two plates and basically placed the plates on the bar counter area where people pay for take out orders. Really!!! The only thing they did efficiently was present my bill and swipe my credit card. And charged me for the additional rice I needed to replace the burnt smelling rice. Like I said… this used to be a spot I’d recommend for lunch. But now… I wouldn’t. The prior time I was there with a co-worker who never been, they completely messed up our orders, then told us that we told them the wrong thing. Forgive me… but being allergic to shellfish, I don’t think I’d ask for my meal to come with shrimp. But I digress. I hope whoever owns Dee Thai reads the reviews and return Dee Thai to the great place it «used» to be.

I love Thai food so I was glad to find Dee Thai near my new home in Johns Creek. I’ve tried their Pud Thai, Green Curry with Chicken, and Dee Thai Fried Rice. They were all delicious. The Dee Thai Fried Rice is a favorite of mine flavored with curry, raisins, cashews, pineapple, and your choice of meat or tofu. Delicious!

I always get their pad Thai(chicken or shrimp) and chicken satay with thai tea. The Thai tea is sometimes too sweet but still pretty good! The food comes fast and the service is always good. They also give pretty big servings. This place is down the street from my house so that gets them an extra star from me!

Well… the place is clean and both of the servers were nice. You can tell they do a lot of take-out business and because of that, their dine-in service lacks a good bit. We came in and after standing around for 3 – 5 minutes with both servers helping take-out customers, we were told to sit anywhere with barely a glance. No big deal really… busy is busy no matter what the business is. So we sat at a table and waited… and waited… and waited. After a good bit of time I got up and snagged two menus from the bar as the two servers continued to help take-out customer. The ladies that were siting next to us seemed to be in the same boat. So I took inventory of the menu while we waited and chatted with my dinner partner about our week. One of the servers came around with water about 10 minutes later, for both tables. Took our order and then hoped over to the table next to us for a repeat. The food came quickly. I ordered the mixed veggies in brown sauce with chicken and my dinner guest ordered the cashew chicken with veggies and I ordered a side of Basil spring rolls. Both entrees looked the same when brought out, sans the cashews on mine. With our plates came a pretty silver bowl of steamed rice. I asked for rice bowls, since I eat most meals consisting of steamed rice, veggies and sauce from a bowl. The male server looked at me like I just asked him to wash my car and buff the tires for free, but he turned and left, coming back a short time later with small soup bowls… that will do. Mid way through our meal I asked him for some red pepper sauce or the red pepper powder… once again he looked at me with shock and awe… then proceeded to tell me that both were very spicy and that I should be careful… thanks babe… I get that… if I asked for it then certainly this white chick gets it. As for the food it was on the bland side for me. Not being Thai but knowing how to cook, I could have made both of these dishes at home and had them turn out better. I’m not saying I won’t end up here again, but if I do then I will more than likely do take-out and will order one of the curry based dishes. I scoped out a table that ordered three of the curry based dishes, as we were leaving and those looked WAY more interesting then what we had just eaten… so maybe I just ordered wrong.

It’s an average place for lunch .I tried basil chicken .the chicken was rubbery. an there was green beans in the mix!.. the dish was served in under 3 mins .this only means the chicken was already prepared(and simmering in boiling water). Can’t believe they don’t prepare fresh ! The owner was very polite Btw medium was pretty spicy .go with mild:)

I didn’t even know there was Thai restaurant in this strip mall, but decided to stop in after finishing some work at BOA. Like other Unilocalers, I was surprised that this place was deserted at lunch time, but I just figured I got there before the rush. The food is average and one of the reasons may be the menu, which contains all the flashy names that Americans have come to expect with Thai food, but none of the flair of a more traditional spot(like Nan) or a street food-type place like Tuk Tuk in Buckhead. I looked at the lunch specials and decided to go with the Basil Eggplant with tofu. I was very surprised flipping the menu over not to see any Tom Yum soup. When I asked about it, I was told that it was not available at lunch time — only the Coconut Chicken soup was ready. I tried the soup and was very disappointed. If Thai soup is just a heavy dose of coconut milk, chicken and some kaffir lime then anyone can make this stuff at home. My eggplant dish was good, but not spectacular. Overall, I found the food very average. I would like to give this place another shot at dinner time.

I was a little worried when I walked in at lunchtime and the place was deserted. This usually means the food or the service is awful. But since I had time on my hands and curiosity leading the way, I took a seat. It was maybe 3 seconds before a water came and poured me my water and took my drink order. I was able to order my food less than 5 minutes later and it came out in under 10 minutes. These guys are speedy when the crowd is small. I ordered the Pad See Yu and it was amazing! To be honest it was the best Pad See Yu I have had in a long time. The portions are enormous and the price is right. I also ordered tea and it was great. Excellent meal for under $ 10. I would suggest this as a lunch place on your lunch break from work. You’ll be well taken care of, full and satisfied.
