Earthly Matters Contracting

So I had my exterior of the house painted and deck railing/​steps painted and steps of the deck replaced. The foreman was GREAT — from explanations to keeping me happy… But — the crew they hire out comes from another city and doesn’t really have an invested reason to paint the house correctly, since they are sub-​contracting them out. I wish I had known that fact up front. The foreman and I (We) discussed up front that spraying a house would go on as thick or better than hand brushing/​rolling. So — I used these guys. Their quote was fair (in the middle). They have so many good reviews on Angie’s List — that I went ahead. Now 3 weeks later I notice that the exterior has overlapping where they actually didn;t spray it on some areas, and the rest of the house is too thin. They used less than 7 gallons of paint to cover the entire siding of the house which is almost 4,000 SQ FT… I didn’t realize until after when they left me the unused paint, and up front they only got 10 gallons for the siding. I am contacting them to ask to have it re-​done… I really don’t know how you would fix overlapping when it was done incorrectly up front. The paint job from the builder lasted 9 years, but this is so thin on the siding areas. Then when you compare the the trim where they hand brushed, so thick !! I woulds say they did a fair job, but for the price of almost $ 6,000.00, it needs to be complete and accurate.

If you value your time and money than these guys quotes are too good to be true.
1. exterior painting-​the painted all the windows open and did not close them for 36 hours
2. they left my outside water running for over 24 hours
3. interior painting and wall paper removal-​had to come back 2 times to re move more paper and repaint walls and still the job is not done to my liking
4. tile replacement-​needed 5 or so tiles replaced so instead of removing 1 from an inconspicuous spot in the bathroom they removed all 5 tiles and now they cannot find tiles to match and will not remedy the situation to my satisfaction.
