Hibachi has been my favorite spot since I first had it. Service is always good, quick, & they’re very polite. The food is out of this world and its prices quite well. Highly recommend Hibachi Express to anyone! Will continue to eat here for as long as possible.

One of my favorite places. Food is great at a great price and you get a lot of food. They do get a line at lunch so I say you should call ahead so it will be ready.

Good food(chick tyaki, rice), portion size, price — but … DONOTDINEIN. The place is a total dump and(in typical Korean style(I’m Korean btw and heard them talking in the back… sometimes making derogatory remarks about customers btw)), there is no AC(and it’s 90+degrees right now!), no atmosphere, no décor; tables are sticky/dirty, seating is like it was purchased from the last Chinese take-out to go out of business — it is absolutely for take-out only. But with that, enjoy your meal, cuz it’s good!

This place is a downtown Alpharetta treasure. It’s not gourmet but it’s solid, tasty and fresh. It’s got a small menu. Lunchtime can be very busy so plan ahead or expect to wait. It’s good for nights when you’re tired and want something comforting.

Very good and quick. The sauce they serve with the food makes it delicious! Love this for lunch.

I was impressed. I came to pick up my order and they had a printed out sticker on the styrofoam box with my name, time of order, and total price. Classy, I like places that are organized. When I walked through the door I heard the clanging of metal against the habachi grill, saw the steam of the the ingredients being cooked coming off, not a bad thing. And this place was packed with people sitting down to eat and a line waiting to pick up their orders — a great sign. The people are into it. The reason I’m giving this place 4 starts instead of 5, is I felt like there should have been a little more steak. There was a ton of rice, the sauce was great, but I was just wishing for a little more steak.

I ordered the small steak with onions and zucchini with a side of the pink sauce. The food was really tasty, I just wish they’d give more meat and veggies and hold off a bit on the rice. Also, there was nothing express about this place. Took a good ten minutes to get my food.

Favorite asain take out in the area. The rice is so delicious and I love the zucchini and carrot option. They could only be better if open later and offered delivery. Good size portion for a great price!

I don’t understand why they call this hibachi. The only thing cooked on a flat grill here is your meat option and even that is debatable. The rice is steamed and not fried, like traditional hibachi. The rice is also barely cooked so it has an odd, dry crunch. The vegetables that are supposed to be grilled as well are stored in a crock pot of water, that’s if you get any veggies in your order at all. A regular order starts at $ 6.50 for the chicken option and can go as high as $ 8+ for steak, shrimp or scallops. The large order starts at $ 9.95 and up depending on your meat option. Don’t bother ordering a large assuming you’ll get more food, regular or large is served in the same container. Their version of Hibachi«yum-yum» sauce is 93 cents a piece and the container is the size of a thimble. Regular or large you only get one free with your order. Don’t bother asking for any more than 2 sauces, the girl behind the counter actually told me one was enough. Bitch, you don’t know me! If you’re looking for hibachi you’re better off ordering from any generic Chinese restaurant chain. Avoid this place.

Mix/Match combo, scallops/shrimp is what I ordered. It was a party in my mouth. Good amount of food for the price. Delicious! I only have one complaint, they were skimpy with the hibachi sauce. They could do better with that.

Pretty poor quality. TINY Shrimp, and very small amount of meat given on a TWO meat plate that I paid $ 12 for!!! They fill your box up with all rice and barely anything else. I also waited for almost 10 minutes. Don’t call the place«Express» if you are not going to prepare food quickly. I’ve had much better for much less!

Eh, I don’t really love this place. The chicken hibachi meal has very dry chicken with little sauce on it. The vegetables are sparse, but the onions are abundant since they are cheap. The rice has very little teriyaki sauce on it and is also dry and bland. The hibachi sauce tastes very strongly of honey mustard, unlike most hibachi sauces. The first time I had Hibachi Express, I drenched my food in the sauce, which was overpowering. The second time, I dipped it instead and it was a little better but not by a lot. Also: the portions are very large, and if you are wanting to reheat the leftover for the next day, be warned that the rice dries out and becomes crunchy.

Extra sauce is 1 $ regarding the quantity of a small cup It is more expensive than WINE or even a fancy Cocktail !!!

I am such a fan of Hibachi«Express» type restaurants. Well, I guess I should say that I love hibachi(steak, chicken, shrimp, scallops, etc.), the veggies, rice, and especially the WHITE sauce at a sit-down Hibachi restaurant. However, I do hate the price to pay for the«show». They all seem to be the same: the choo-choo train, the volcano, flipping the egg, catching the shrimp with your mouth, etc. If I can pay less to get the same tasting and quality food, I’m all about it. There aren’t too many of these around; I feel like they would do well if there were! I’ve had take out from this particular joint a couple of times: I’ve had the chicken, scallops, shrimp and steak. Chicken is always difficult since it tends to dry out; so it’s a challenge. I’ll admit that I’ll probably stay away from chicken for this particular reason. The scallops I had from here were delicious(although I don’t know that they still have scallops — sadness!). Most recently, I saw that they had crossed out scallops … but when they had this, it was nice and moist on the inside and well, just cooked perfectly with the teriyaki sauce. Steak has always been cooked well for me as well. And shrimp, they are fair with their portions so no complaints here. The only WARNING I have is … I recommend staying away from the COMBINATIONs. The value is definitely in focusing on ONE meat. I paid $ 13 for a combination and some extra veggies on my most recent visit and thought it was quite expensive compared to the single meat selection. I didn’t feel like I received«more» meat for the combination so I honestly felt a little ripped off. =(Oh well. I learned my lesson and won’t be ordering a combination again. Also, I ordered extra veggies but I got TONS of onions and a few add’l pieces of zucchini. I think I’ll stay away from that as well since I paid almost $ 2 for extra veggies. All in all, I’m giving this place 4 stars because it’s a hibachi EXPRESS(and cheaper than the show) and the fact that they have the white sauce. So, the 4 stars applies to the one meat orders — not the combinations. =) Happy eating. Happy Hibachi. Happy White Sauce. Oh! and if you want extra white sauce, it’s $ 1!!!

The food here is great and cheap! There isn’t much to the actual restaurant so we opted for take out. I got chicken and my husband got chicken and steak. Both were great and made fresh to order.
