Hinton’s Wine Store

I called to reserve a 6 pack of Bell’s Hopslam last Friday. They took down my name and phone number and said they would call me when it came in on Wednesday or Thursday of this week. Well, it’s Thursday and I never got a call… then I find out they sold all of it. Wtf?

Everytime I stop by the staff is helpful & friendly. The prices are just right & what I want is always in stock.

I love going to Hinton’s. The staff is friendly and they have a good selection of liquor and a nice variety of wines. The Sandy Springs location has a much better craft beer selection than this Holcomb Bridge location, but you can still find decent craft beers from time to time.
Overall, this is my go to store for wine and liquor in the area.

One of my fave wine stores of all time, great selection, good prices, friendly and helpful staff, love their wine «introductions» and emails. Tasting room is amazing.

My father-​in-​law and I sometimes refer to this store as «The Toy Store» because they can sometimes have such cool wines and a nice variety to boot. They go out of their way to introduce their customers to new wine and great deals. They have a knowledgeable staff, wine club, they do tastings, recommend pairings, send out email alerts — which are not spam — they’re usually worth reading… and they also have… get ready for it… volume discounts!

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Hinton’s. My hubby has relied on them for years, and he was rightfully excited to share them with me — what an excellent resource for wine and wine recommendations! Keith is an incredible source of information and is very helpful, competent, and conversant about all that is good. His recommendations for new wines to try have been spot on, and he’s been very faithful in getting us what we’ve ordered even when it’s hard to come by and no one else can get what we need. We will definitely continue to support and rely on Hinton’s as our go-​to for good wine, and we will recommend them to anyone who will listen! Also, don’t miss the tasting room next door if you stop by. There are unannounced tastings as well as scheduled tastings, and the owner-​operator (Chris Hinton) could not be nicer. Be sure to check out their mailing lists & their wine club, too — they do just as well keeping their customers informed as they do keeping them well-​stocked!

This is my go-​to place for wine. Great selection of wine, from inexpensive jug wines to very high end wines. Friendly and knowledgeable staff who have never given me a bad recommendation. They have a wine bar next door where you can try some of the wines.

Chris Hinton, the owner, was better known in his days as a pro football player, playing for the Falcons, Vikings and Colts (Indy). However, his passion is wine and champagne and it really shows.
Probably the best selection of wine in the area at all price ranges and Chris has people working for him (Keith, in particular) who really know their wines.
On Fridays and Saturdays, Chris has wine tastings next door at Bin 75 (his jersey #). If you join the wine club, the tastings are free. If not, they’re $ 10 or $ 15. Still a great deal.
Chris also has a wine bar at Bin 75 with a huge selection of wines at all price ranges sold by the ounce. It’s on a nitrogen system so the wines will stay fresh for long periods. Good place to sip a wine you’d never buy because of the price or wouldn’t until you’d tried it.
I have enough faith in their ability to select wines that I always ask them to pick wines for me. I’ve been shopping here since they opened 10 years ago.
It’s fun to see Chris’s football memorabilia around the store but, to be honest, I like him more as a wine merchant than I did as a football player.

This gem of a place came as recommendation from my neighbour. This place has unbelievable wines coming out of big and small vineyards alike (all across the globe). Not only is the price point at which they sell their wines is extremely attractive, but also their knowledge pertaining to their products is vast. I have purchased ~20 wines so far, and have yet to find a reason to be disappointed.
If you want to know the composition of a particular wine coupled with the characteristics of region it has been grown in, the conditions prevalent at the time, the history of that vineyard etc then Keith is your man :-)
