Terrible. Went to get a full set of pink and white. Totally uneven, more acrylic on my skin than nails, bubbling up right after leaving. Also, the pink acrylic they use is not even pink, it’s a natural skin color that shows every imperfection in your nail. Really disappointed.

I was doing some local shopping and noticed how cute this nail salon appeared to be. It’s extremely attractive looking when you first walk in. I sat down to get a pedicure, and at first it was all going great. The nail tech proceeded to dig and dig in the sides of both of my big toes. It was extremely painful. She then proceeded to cut down my nails… My right big toe was cut down so short that she cut my skin under the nail and I began to bleed pretty well. She quickly put something that stung horribly on my foot then put it back in the water… Once my feet were about to be polished she continued to dig at my toes. Why? I have no idea. I don’t find it needed! I politely asked her to stop doing that as she was causing me excruciating pain! She looked as if she was upset or offended… Now it’s the next day and my right foot hurts so bad keeping a closed toe shoe on hurts still!!! ***I won’t be back***

I came in for a mani/pedi on Saturday, they were overpriced for the services provide. Pedi took about 15min and there was practically no massage or scrubbing, she basically just washed my feet then filed & painted my nails even though I paid the extra $ 5 for the 2nd tier pedi service option. My mani was a disaster… the guy kept getting up in the middle of it to greet customers and run water for other customers pedis. I was blown away about how unconcerned he was about HIS client. This service also took less than 15min… even though I sat in his chair for 30min, he spent the other half of MY time with other customers… Unreal! It’s now Tuesday and both my fingers and toes are already chipping so bad I’m going to repaint them myself. What a waste of $ 45 bucks(yes that’s how much with tip a simple mani/pedi cost there). Oh and one last thing… all their polishes were so old I could barely open half the bottles to check the color on a nail before I decided. I will NEVER go back there. Save your $$ and go elsewhere.

I love this place, Darren is the best :) I’m coming to this place over a year now, I tried so many places but Darren does an awesome job.

I want to love this place but have had some issues. Lux is in a very convenient location for me. For the most part everyone is nice. But the nails… it’s all about the nails. I’ve been here numerous times but each time I’ve been here the experience has gone downhill. My most recent experience was horrible. I don’t think that a simple gel manicure should take an 1.5 hours. The technician was the slowest I have ever had. It was an older woman. I don’t recall her name. The application of the polish was too thick and literally up to my cuticles, which is a no no. It was torture to sit through this. I was nipped on my cuticle and bled to boot. The pedicure was another story. I thought the pedicure was great. It was a good experience and the polish lasted. I do think there is too much clutter around the salon, which makes it NOT seek like a «spa». They sell fashion jewelry which is fine, but it is literally taking over the entire salon. They really need to declutter and give this place a good cleaning. I worry that if a salon does not care enough to clean the front areas where the clients can see, what is going on with the rest of the salon, especially the tools and equipment that need to be sterilized.

I’ve been coming here almost a year exclusively. Darren is my preferred technician. He’s very informative when I want to try something different. I love how my nails last even when I suffer a small nail break. I’ve prefer the solar nails service because they last longer and go with anything I wear. My natural nails seem to grow faster and healthier as well. I haven’t had full pedicure service(sugar, salt, paraffin, etc) here yet. The regular pedicure I did have was ok, but I’ve had better at two other places I prefer. I bring my daughter and her friends here. They like it and the work seems to last longer.

I’ve been coming here off-and-on since it opened(minus a 3 year hiatus when we moved to California). The eyebrow wax is great — they listen to my request — don’t make them too thin because it looks unnatural on me. I had a series of disasters before I decided to try them out while I got a last-minute pedi. The prices are reasonable($ 21 for the standard pedicure) and it’s clean and sterile. I prefer the massage chairs at Nail Elegance on Holcomb Bridge, but there is nothing wrong with the ones at Lux and my pedi lasts just fine.

Looks really nice, different! Some staff could have been a little friendlier, otherwise nice experience.

Seemingly nice place but terrible nails… I got my nails done on a Tuesday and by Friday my acrylics were lifting… and then when I went back to get them fixed she told me they were supposed to do that

This place is beautiful inside. However, they can’t actually do nails. They are more interested in selling jewelry. They DESTROYED my nails. Not just visually, but painfully damaged my nails. I have to now go to another company to get this fixed ASAP. And I waited 45 minutes and it took 2 hours to get them done. Needless to say, I didn’t wait for them to dry…

So I had to go and pay another 25 $ to have my nails fixed after visiting this salon.

I absolutely love this salon!!! The atmosphere is the very epitome of sophistication and elegance. Wow! The first time I stepped into the salon, I thought it was the most beautiful one I had ever visited. The staff is incredible!!! I had never seen a salon use a protective covering in the pedicure bowls but LUX does. They then toss it out once you are finished. Excellent and made me feel very safe. Shawn and Megan that provide nail service are some of the best pro’s I have ever had!!! I love these guys. Also Anne makes this incredible beautiful designer jewelry that stuns each time I wear it. I get so many compliments. You will love this place. And the best part about it… the prices are incredible and less expensive that most of the salons i have visited in Alpharetta even with all of the luxury you experience. The waxing services are great! I think this is one of Georgia hidden gems that people really should know about. I love the people that work there and the owners are fantastic!!! The salon is also not pretentious. You can go in here and feel sophisticated or very down to earth. I sure did and I am one of the biggest critics around. I like the very best and found it at LUX!

I tried this salon tonight for the first time and it was great! Let me just tell you, that getting me to go to a salon other than my regular one is a miracle in and of itself! I got waxed(eyebrows) and I got a pedicure. Everything was done quickly without being rushed or sloppy and they are all very nice! I even got a pair of free earrings! The inside is very nice and clean as well.

I LOVELOVE this place, I’m a twice a month mani/pedi gal. It is super clean and the staff is always very friendly. Their leather massage chairs do a body good, while soaking your feet in a warm bath. The prices are also VERY reasonable! They also do a good eyebrow waxing in a private back room. And when you get a mani/pedi combo, you get… wait for it… FREEEARRINGS! The owner is a super talented jewelry maker and has her wares for sell in the shop. I am a very loyal customer and recommend it to everyone!

Very clean and sterile equipment. Its only been open for about 3 months and the staff is very friendly and welcoming. The thing I liked best was how clean everything was. They lined the spa foot pool with a plastic garbage bag so that your feet are not actually in the pool, but instead in the plastic bag, they use new nail files, nail buffers, and feet scrubber things for each person and give it to you at the end so that you can bring it back with you when you come back. But even if you forget it, they’ll use new products on you. Waxing is also great and very reasonably priced. I will be returning to this place as its the first time I left a nail salon really pleased with the work they did and didn’t have any complaints. EDIT7÷1÷09 — Still loving this place! Its clean and sterile, the workers are so friendly, beverages are available — awesome place!!!
