Just used this service to get my father from one location to meet up with my mom for an anniversary dinner in Midtown. Seems simple, right? Wrong. My dad’s disabled and isn’t able to transfer from his wheelchair without a Hoya lift. Researching transportation options online(since my dad hasn’t received his Marta Mobility pass yet), I came across Mobility Partners. They were professional, punctual and reliable. Having booked a ride for a Sunday, the ride came at a premium price, which is understandable. For a pickup at 12p and return at 3p to go from Buckhead to Midtown was pricey -$ 74. The steep fare included the tip and Carol’s help in getting my dad access to the disabled access area(boo to Empire State South for only having disabled access through the parking garage). Not sure what the regular rate would be, but for their professionalism and the quality of the vehicle that could accommodate my dad’s wide, 300# motorized wheelchair, was worth it. Plus, to get my dad out of the nursing home and have him out and about and not have to rely on a taxi service(which, frankly, due to Unilocaler feedback, miiiight not go too well for me), it was worth it.
