North Atlanta OBGYN of Alpharetta

I really like all of the physicians at this office– However, I am thinking about switching doctors just because of their office staff! Every time I call with a question, I am on hold for an unreasonable amount of time. It’s hard for me to call with questions during my work hours, and every time I’ve called around 3:30 their phones are already turned over saying the office is closed! Their hours are listed as 8:30 — 4:30 — trying to get someone on the phone is such a headache. I’m currently 20 weeks pregnant and it puts me in a difficult position– I don’t want to switch doctors this far into my pregnancy, however I don’t like the unreliability of the staff.

This office was recommended to me and within my network. I called 30+ times over the course of 1.5 weeks. I NEVER reached a live person. Due to the private nature of my appointment and my schedule, I did not want a «call back» to set an appointment. Unfortunately, it seems like that is the only option at this office. Which is completely asinine. I eventually gave up and called another GYN office. I had an appointment set in MINUTES.

Completely agree with the other 2 reviews and so sad I didn’t read these prior to coming. Spent 2 hours here and got nothing done — left almost in tears. Agree with previous reviews that everyone is quoting different rules, and if you dare speak up for yourself, you’ll be called rude and pushy and told to go somewhere else. I was just so… dumbfounded…that they could act as if it is my luxury to be even sitting in their waiting room. The doctor was cold and unfriendly, the nurse I saw was rude and told me «it’ll be a while» with a smile after I had already been waiting for almost 2 hours. A receptionist told me my doctor should have her license taken away for prescribing me something that this clinic wasn’t honoring… for some reason… that kept changing. I only came here because it was covered by my insurance but this group of bullies had me practically in tears and then acted as if I was the one making a fuss for wanting to actually go through with my appointment. I was crystal clear and forthright when booking the appointment, but once you get there it’s a completely different story. Not sure if it’s actual incompetence or them trying to get as much out of your insurance in appointments as possible. If you value your right to speak out about your own health and come to a service provider to *get service*, do yourself a favor and don’t come here.

I’ve had bad experiences here, I’ve always waited over an hour for an appointment and the doctor wasn’t very responsive… I didn’t feel listened to and it ended up being a pretty traumatic experience. I won’t be going back.
