I needed to go to Staples in Northpoint area in Alpharetta today near work to get ink and other supplies. The store assistant, who was very pleasant, didn’t know much about the products but was quick in asking her superior. I needed to buy ink for the printer. Apparently there are two kinds, $ 10 difference, I was given the more expensive product without letting me know of the cheaper option. When I got back to the office, I called the store to complain I was told that I was given the more superior product which is more popular. That’s great but I would have liked to have been given the choice.

Anyone going to North Point Mall during peak hours(which is about 75% of the time), you know traffic is bad, and the people are aholes. This is why I usually do my best to avoid it, except after it has just opened. This holds true for the stores around the mall as well. My mom told me she needed a new printer. So it was time to go shopping. We kept looking at Best Buy, but honestly, its just not one of my go to stores anymore– also refer to first paragraph. There is one exception to this rule– and it is Staples. I love coming here because if you can handle fighting the Golden Corral and Chuck E Cheese traffic, this place is an in n out gem. When we got there, that held true. On what is usually a busy Saturday afternoon, Staples was empty(as you look across the lot and see the seemingly mobbed Best Buy). This calls for hopes of customer service. We ended up getting a model higher than expected with a sale going on, for the same price as one that was a Best Buy, so we lucked out big time. One of the managers were assisting us the whole time and seemed to know his stuff(if not, he was at least a decent bullshitter). We ended up getting a printer, some ink, and 2 surge protectors. They kept trying to give us the warranty add ons n stuff, but at the end of the day, with technology, some items just are not worth it– printers being one of those items(IMO). So my mom ended up getting one. The actual store looked clean, with wide aisles, but now the more I think about it, why was it so empty? Maybe it stays busier on weekdays, who the hell knows, but they better stay in business!
