This place is an ideal place for those who like sweets but not too much sweets. Their custom Napoleon cake with icing and message plate for my friend’s birthday cake(layered crunchy pie sheets with pastry creams) was so so good! It’s perfect taste wise and an appearance. Kudos to their French pastry chefs and their customer oriented service. I left an order in their voice mail since i called them after they closed. Surprisingly, they called me back and took my order although it had been more than 1.5hours after their closing time. The napoleon cake was not so sweet, but sweet enough and rich. Every bite made a great harmony of crunchiness and creamy texture in my mouth. I can tell they made the cake from scratch! I can’t wait to try all the cakes in their glass case.

My husband and I love this bakery. They have the most amazing assortment of baked goods from perfect flaky croissants to a fantastic array of tarts(the crème brûlée tart is my favorite!) Dropping by is always such a treat that we actually decided to skip a big cake for our wedding and instead ordered 200 tarts from here for our guests… it was a great way to deliver something different and everyone seemed to really enjoy the dessert. Ordering was super easy and(unlike other vendors we used) everything was handled with zero issues. Since then we’ve returned repeatedly to purchase treats for other special occasions and everything is always delicious.(Their flourless chocolate cake had a whole table of people flooding me with compliments and asking for more.) If you’re looking for an exceptionally special treat for any occasion, be it a birthday, wedding, or other holiday, Sweet Tentations should be your first stop. They have never failed to please.

To me, this place really captures the essence of the cafes and bakeries of Paris, which in my mind should be enough to motivate you to visit soon. Should you require a more specific sort of motivation, I’ll inform you that every item in the diverse and inspired pastry case is made fresh daily, and there are always half a dozen or more specials composed by a French-born and very talented protégée of Paul Bocuse, both savory and sweet holding a place on his ever-changing blackboard menu. Are you in your car yet? Well then, calmly open the door and return to the confines of your home, as they close every day at 6:00 pm. You’ll just have to wait until tomorrow!

Super Delicious! Had lunch with friends and it was fantastic. The escargot was excellent and what you would expect in a 5 star restaurant. They also have really good French Baguettes. We had the prosciutto wrapped melon which was beautifully prepared, fresh and delish. Their smoked Salmon is to die for, its all wild Salmon and smoked by the owner personally, who is on site. Don’t get me started on the pastries, my friend had the mini éclair and raspberry tart which not only looked adorable but very tasty as well, I’m getting that next time! I had the Lemon Tart with chocolate on top-Yummy something new Chef has come up with for summer!

LOVELOVELOVELOVELOVELOVELOVE! This is a cute little bakery in the strip mall where Starbucks and Bruster’s is located. In fact, as I was leaving the Starbucks, I just happened to glance in that direction and saw«French Bakery» and then ran my behind over there! I love pastries(and it shows). The counter lady is very kind and patient — she had to be because I couldn’t make up my mind as to what I wanted… I have had the ham croissant and it is tender, flaky, and buttery. The ONLY change I would make is to shave the ham so its thinner. Melt in your mouth delish! The eclairs are so decadent and yummilicious! I won’t quibble about the icing on the top of them. I love vanilla filling with chocolate icing. They make chocolate on chocolate and vanilla on vanilla. I had a few other things, but they escape my mind right now — an over 40 moment, I am sure. I will definitely go back on another Weight Watchers cheat day.

You have to try the tiramisu, while not an Italian bakery, they know what they’re doing. Everything from the mille-feuille to the tarts is A+. To save yourself the trouble of having to read too long of a review, I will say that this place is fantastic, and the lovely french couple that own it are as sweet as their deserts. I try to go as often as I can! You won’t be disappointed.

So good! It’s everything a French bakery should be! I get the Matignon which is a flourless chocolate ganache type dessert. It’s one of the few gluten free items they have. I also had a merengue cookie which was one of the best I’ve had.

Stopped in here to satiate a sweet tooth. I knew I wanted to try their macarons for sure, and probably the fruit tarts. I ended up getting some of each and then some! The place is quite small, maybe a tad on the dark side. The owner(I presume) helped me. She had a lovely French accent. I ordered three macarons — pistachio, raspberry and apricot. Two cocktail fruit tarts as well as a vanilla éclair to boot. Everything came out to $ 16.85 with tax. I think the prices are in line with Douceur de France, maybe slightly lower, actually. For example, macarons at Sweet Tentations are $ 1.35 versus $ 1.80 at DdF. However, it seems the macarons at ST are a bit smaller, and also irregular in size — my raspberry and pistachio macarons were quite a bit smaller than the apricot one. I’ll run down each item in further detail, starting with my favorite: the vanilla éclair. The pastry was as light as a crème puff, and I loved the custard filling and the fact that it wasn’t too cloyingly sweet. The sweetness came from the thin layer of vanilla icing on top. I savored every single bite. Well worth it. The macarons: raspberry was good, had the raspberry fruity filling. I felt the shell was not as crispy as it could have been — in fact, this goes for all three. Pistachio was the most disappointing one in the bunch. The filling was a very light whipped cream-type filling that seemed to have no flavor at all. Apricot was my favorite, it tasted wonderful. It had the fruity filling as well. The fruit tarts: one thing that made it stand out was the inclusion of apricot halves on the tarts. They were canned apricots, but I welcomed the addition. I assume the other fruits were not canned — I remember there were blackberries, strawberries, kiwi and blueberries. A nice selection of fruit for sure. The crust, by the time I ate it(probably 12 hours after purchase) was on the soggy side, so I can’t speak much on that. Conclusion? Come here for the eclairs, because they beat even the one I had in Paris this past summer, and that was pretty damn good. DdF is closer in distance to me, so it will probably be my go-to, but I welcome Sweet Tentations as another option.

Been coming here for the past two years due to vicinity of my job. Never had great experience here with food or staff but nothing too bad either. But recently they messed up a cake order for a very important event and owner was not only unapologetic but had a horrible attitude about it as if to say«what do you want us to do? Do you want the cake or not?» Then tried to overcharge me since I had no choice but to get the cake since it was literally an hour before the event. I will never be going back again. Jolie Kobe in Sandy Springs has better food with MUCH better service. It may be out of the way but when it comes to special days and events I rather drive a bit further for reliable service without the attitude.

ALLHAILTOTHEFRENCH! I was just here a few days ago,(doing the birthday weekend trial run) and today I am here at 8:30 to see all of my glorious little friends because the birthday weekend must start with special treats. Let me just confess this: I tried that other French bakery this morning out of curiosity and it was tragic. I actually had to throw the pastry away. So after stopping for breakfast and cleaning my palette, I came directly over to my favorite bakery. The selection here was crazy,(varied, beautiful and tempting). I grab an assortment of pastries,(apricot, cheese, blueberry), and a couple of the fruit tarts and head home. I anxiously try the blueberry tart because I have not tried them before and I must say that it too, is perfection. It reminded me of a layered cookie with fresh ingredients and a light sweetness that did not overwhelm. Remember, if it is working, don’t change it! I will never stray again. Absolutely delicious! I have truly found the ultimate French bakery and need not look any further. SCORE!!!

I stopped by this place after watching a movie at Studio Movie Grill, which is a minute away. Took awhile to find the place in the plaza, despite the prominent sign at the plaza entrance. It’s located next to a Physical Therapy clinic. Upon entering the bakery, the owner greeted me. I told her I wanted something not too sweet but has chocolate in it. She recommended two desserts, one of which was the matignon. It is her favorite and after tasting it, I have to say it is the best dessert I have had. I’m not a sweets kind of person, so for me to say it is kind of a big deal lol! The dessert has dark chocolate as rose petals, and inside filled with layers of chocolate mousse and chocolate cake. Super delicious! The price was definitely worth it and I will come back and bring my friends! I highly recommend the matignon if you ever stop by.

Everything was good LOVELOVELOVEDELISH Yep be reckless, be decadent and order that pastry, aren’t u worth it!!! Would RECOMMEND and if the neighbourhood would definitely come back for lunch or just to pick up some dessert

I’d read about Sweet Tentations in various talk threads, but I haven’t been big on sweets in a while, and clearly that’s been the focus of all the talk. But after some colleagues became enamored with Sushi Uchi across the way, I resolved to try this place. And with my office moving, I was even more motivated. So for my UYE, I arrived around 12 on a Thursday. There were 2 other patrons having coffee at the high table. Thinking it would take a little while for the items from the kitchen, I went ahead and ordered waiting for Lindy to arrive. There’s not much to the place other than pastries. There are a few lunch entrees — all fitting on to a chalkboard. I chose the tuna salad stuffed tomato, served with salad and house cesar dressing, giving my order to the French owner who wrote it down and took the order to the kitchen. In no time, the food was at the table with a smile and a «Bön Ap». I ate the salad around the edges as slowly as possible to not appear rude to either the owner or Lindy when she arrived. The tomato was fresh, the tuna salad was light, but could’ve used a tad more salt or seasoning. The house dressing on the crisp romaine was quite tasty. After enjoying our mains and the conversation, we spent quite a few minutes debating the pastries. I opted for the chocolate tart(personal size — about 4−5″ in diameter), while Lindy got the lemon, which had meringue, and we’re friends because we of course agreed to go halvesies(once we checked that neither had tree nuts). The chocolate was rich, almost fudge-like, with caramel holding it to the thin, flaky crust. The lemon was bright and light, the perfect palate cleanser. I also took a mini strawberry tart and a mini-éclair back to a coworker who wasn’t able to sneak away to join us, and she has been grateful ever since. I need to get back for some delicious morsels soon!

«I never regretted learning French.» — Looper(2012) What a fabulous little find! Thanks Angela M. We came here for lunch the other day and I think this might be the first time I’ll use the word quaint in one of my reviews — it really applies. The little café has tables and chairs all around, but it is on the smaller side — but that’s as it should be. You walk in and are immediately blown away but the scents of pastries, and chocolate, and pastry creams, oh my. I was very glad to be an adult — knowing I could opt for dessert first! Instead, I took the responsible route and ordered lunch — written on a chalk easel in front of me. Quaint again! I love it. The board boasted of a chicken salad stuffed avocado(yes please), so my decision was easy. I grabbed a bottle of water from the cold case in the back and sat down. In short order, my lunch was placed in front of me with silverware wrapped in a paper napkin by the owner — sweet French woman who said to me Bön Appetit. OMG. Could she be any more adorable? So I dug in. The chicken salad was somewhat typical, but it was in an avocado peel with the avocado chopped on top. The entire thing sat on a bed of dressed greens — the salad dressing looked like a ranch, but as I dug in, it was a creamy dijon that was delectable. Creamy, with that tangy kick from Dijon. I love the French. I was hoarding the avocado pieces as I ate the chicken salad as it really gave the chicken salad more depth and decided to dump the rest of it out of the skin when I realized half the avocado meat was still in there — score! No more hoarding required. Now normally, as a trained chef, I would take points away for putting something inedible on the plate, but the presentation was sweet and I don’t know what the culinary rules are in France. I’ll let us slide. Plus, it did keep the avocado from turning brown. When we finished our salads, it was time for dessert. Thank goodness for my foodie friends. We each picked out a tart based on all the things we mutually agreed looked inviting(and tree nut free) and as we sat down at the table(without any hesitation or words exchanged) sliced them each in half and traded. I opted for the Lemon tart(meringue) and Angela the chocolate. Both were amazing and actually complimented each other. The lemon was not overly tart, but tart in a refreshing way with a perfectly bruleed meringue on the top. The chocolate was dark and rich and sinful with a thin layer of caramel underneath. the pastry on both was thin and perfectly baked and very clearly French. We each also took pastries to go for our friends and loved ones — how can you not with so many options. I will definitely come back here again and again. A new favorite find!
