Excellent and authentic. Fresh food and delicious. Good service too! Definitely recommended.

$ 4.95 lunch specials during the week that include a fountain drink and complementary chips and dip! The food tastes good and you can’t beat the prices. Both times I have been during lunch the place was very busy but the service was quick.

Have frequent this location twice since my last review and sad to say, was extremely disappointed with the food! I ordered the Ranchero Quesadilla, which I’ve ordered several times in the past, and it was delicious! My recent visit there must have been a new cook in the kitchen, because my Ranchero Quesadilla taste like S***! I only took two bites, and immediately threw the rest in the Garbage! I called the restaurant, and told them the food tasted horrible. I didn’t want my money back. I only needed to advise how disgusting the food was.

In the world of ubiquitous Mexican restaurants with full pages of combos, Taqueria Las Palmas has probably the best combination of food, price and service. There are no shortage of Mexican restaurants on this stretch of highway 9, with one even sharing the parking lot, yet they hold their own in presenting a solid lunch or dinner. While I can’t describe everything as «authentic», there is notably a larger hispanic clientele here then any of the others in the area, which I’ve been told means something. Lunches around $ 5, good portions, fresh food, cheap beer all make me a muy happy campesino.

So this is the fourth time here and the foods been excellent every time. Tacos are amazing and the food is very cheap for what it is. This is one of the few places left where you can get a great lunch for under $ 5.

Had to try the mexican food place with good reviews. It is decent. Not that chips are a big deal, but these were substandard. I did the torta, since it had good reviews. I am still hoping for that real Tijuana style torta, but have not found it. It was tasty, but not amazing. My wife did the chicken burrito and she liked it. I will go back, but the 4.5 stars is a bit far fetched.

Simply the Best and most authentic Mexican restaurant in town. The owner Dona Susana is the sweetest lady w great customer service skills. The fish tacos are killer! Try the Mexican enchilada platter…

After having lived in Mexico for 2 yrs in Cuernavaca, DF and S. Yucatan, and having worked in Central and South America, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico for 4 years, I can tell you Taqueria Las Palmas is the real deal. The food is always well prepared, and it is as authentic as it gets. If you know of something off the menu and they can make it, they will. I and my wife have been going there regularly for the past 4 years and have tried many different dishes and specialities — ALL of which are simply amazing. It is usually our first choice when going out. And we are never disappointed. Be sure to ask for the«Mexican Guacamole»! I like the Molcajete, Tacos al Pastor, Huaraches, Menudo, Seafood Soup, Mole, Carnitas con Salsa Verde, Suiza Enchiladas, todas es muy rica y sabrosa!!! You won’t be sorry!!! Bill Fulbright

This place is the bomb for prices. Recommended by a fellow Unilocaler, our group had a great time: company, food, and prices. Don’t judge a place by its exterior, some of the best eateries are a hole in the wall. My choice for the night was a tortas. The portion size was fairly large, and it was scrumptious. Of course, right? Since it was recommended by the all Elite God, Marcus. Lol. I do think the particular meat I choose was a tad bland(steak and chorizo). Don’t worry. There were two h0t sauce bottles to choose from to add more flavor. The tortas bread was just right: not too much bread or thickness. I think if I had chosen another item, my experience would have been even better though. Should have gone with Marcus’ rec. Buttons… With the tortas order and salsa and chips that were available, I was surely full and had to do the accustomed to-go box. Service was fairly decent. It became a tad delayed after more folks stopped in for dinner, but our group was tended to nonetheless. Parking was pretty plentiful since this complex wasn’t hopping by any means. If you’re going to judge a place by its exterior, this area will be one of those moments. Lol.

«If your reviews are looking like essays, start a blog. I can’t read your life story on my phone before ordering from the menu.» [Time & Date of visit]: 7pm Friday Night, March 27th2015 [Party Size]: 6 [Location/Ambiance]: Slightly Noisy, various families dining in. Aside from the tiki bar, there’s not much decorations going on. Booths run along the sides of the restaurant with various tables in the middle. The parking lot is shared with another Mexican restaurant at the end of the plaza but there’s still plenty parking in the lot. [Service]: The restaurant started to get more filled through the night, with the 2 – 3 servers covering majority of the restaurant. There were food runners bringing out the entrees. I would say that they are quite busy on weekend nights. Expect service to get a little slow once the restaurant fills outs. [Food Highlights]: Torta, Las Palmas($ 6) — Recommended by our food guide for the night, Marcus O. This is definitely filling. The bread is slightly toasted to give it a little crunch as the inners get’s that needed bit of sogginess of the meats and veggies. The crumbles of chorizo does spill out a bit when grabbing for a bite. The carne asada is marinated well. Both flavors mesh well and make this torta worth a try. For this amount of food and flavor, I’m not going to question how they are making money for what they charge. But I’ll take one more for the road! Tacos Camarones($ 2) — Though the torta was filling itself, I still wanted to try how their taco’s stack up to what the other Mexican restaurants around Roswell offer. This version is served with the shrimp battered and deep fried, bits of lettuce and with generous portion of sauce similar to sriracha mayo. Not what I was expecting but decent. I think Taqueria San Pancho’s grilled variety tops this one. Tacos(pork) pastor($ 1.25) — I think this was one of the better taco’s of the night. Though the pastor isn’t as flavorful as other taco places it’s still juicy and fared a lot better than the camarones. Thick slices topped with a couple of onions and other greens. Bottle of Corona($ 3.50) — paired with a lime [Total Bill w/Tip & Tax]: $ 13.64 {Summary}: I’m glad that our fellow Unilocaler Marcus O. chose this place as our Unilocalers foodie dinner adventures. The value is awesome for the amount of good food that you get. Though it’s a bit further up from the house, it’s worth the drive for value for the food you get. Stick with the Tortas if you’re unsure of what to order.

My wife and I trust that the reviews on Unilocal that lead us into this place, and they were right on, we were pleasantly surprised at this place in a little strip mall could put out the high-quality food that it does. I enjoyed the quesadilla Texana, and my wife had the chicken fajita nachos, and we both love that they were piping hot, full of flavor and probably deliver to our table. The quesadilla was jam packed with delicious steak, shrimp, and chicken, and quite filled with large pieces they were almost like fajitas instead of quesadillaS. The best Mexican food my wife is had since you left Texas three years ago, don’t let the outside for you, come inside and enjoy great food and authentic Mexican music. And for dessert, let me suggest the hot churros in a bowl of vanilla bean ice cream topped with whipped cream and drizzled chocolate.

[TL;DR] I was the Duke here. That’s how much I like this place. By this point, I’ve tried just about everything on the menu — pretty much from soup to torta. It’s all pretty good. At this point, though, I’ve settled on the torta being my favorite, specifically the Oaxaquena which is a chorizo, ham, fried egg, and avocado sandwich. Their service remains as friendly as ever. Seeing a lot more of what appears to be regulars here! Really happy it’s picking up. This place is great.

Perfect hidden gem for delicious authentic Mexican food. My husband and I have been to Mexico several times and this restaurant is comparable to what we ate in Mexico. We ordered for pick up and the person on the phone was very knowledgable about the menu and was helpful. When we brought the food home, they packed us chips and lots of extra sauces(spicy) on the side with our meal. So happy we discovered this place.

My part time gig is in Alpharetta, and every single Friday, I stop by Las Palmas for my lunch break. I always order the same thing, two carne asada tacos, two chicken tacos and a red and green hot sauce on the side. The word that best describes Las Palmas is CONSISTENT!!! Their tacos are awesome, well seasoned, the carne asada and chicken are always flavorful and juicy as well. Every single time it’s topped with everything(cilantro and fresh chopped white onion, served with thin sliced radish as well) The thing I absolutely adore about their tacos is that they only use 1 tortilla to encase the tacos. I hate when Taquerias hide crappy meat with thick layers of corn tortilla… I’ve been here at least 5 times, and the food has been awesome each time!

I give it 5 habaneros, They hit my amigo spot for mexican food. I had the Mole Enchiladas, 3 chicken enchiladas with rice/beans, $ 7.50 pus drink. Muy bien. Nice big menu, service was good, 4 tables, 6 booths and you can eat at the bar. Just as good as my other favs, 7 Tequilas and Taco Mexico. This is located on Route 9 just past McFarland in a strip mall. Make sure you check out the cigar shop next door, very cool.

This review deserves a five and may get updated to a five on our next visit. The food is outstanding. We ordered a dish called molcajete and split it. Excellent! Charro bean soup best i have had. Make sure to try sauces on the side. The only complaint is service is slower than most. Still good service We will be coming back!!!

It is hard to find authentic Mexican food. This place has it. No Tex-Mex. No southwest. Just really good Mexican. Tacos are fresh and tasty. Habanero salsa awesome. And $ 2.99 margaritas everyday. OMG. Try it and you’ll like it.
