The Lex

Initially, the lex really charmed us. It looks very pretty and modern from the outside and upon first look. The management is also initially very charming and friendly and welcoming. Then you move in. Welcome to problem after problem. From ants, to chipping, dust filled paint, poor water fixtures that have just been poorly cocked over and keep breaking, water leaking from the windows and water stains on the ceiling and the carpeting does not go all the way to the baseboards. The air conditioning and power went out on multiple occasions this summer and often took over a day to get turned back on. What looked like a really nice place turned out to be a hack job where everything was done cheaply and poorly. When you try to get management to fix things or help you, they are slow to respond and you feel like a bother. This is also touted as a «Dog friendly community» however there are not enough poop containers provided and no one seems to pick up after their dogs so there is dog poop everywhere. The dog park is covered in poo and stinks. In terms of safety, their gates are continually open so the key card to get through really doesn’t matter. Finally, they charged a late fee on our rent payment when the the rent didn’t get approved despite the funds being available (as we proved with a screenshot of the banking info at the time it was attempted to be taken out). Don’t be fooled by this place. We are moving out as soon as our lease is up and would not recommend it to anyone. Especially since this place is NOT CHEAP.

I’ve lived here for around a year now and overall, I’m pretty happy with it. The construction is complete, I’ve never had roaches and the staff has been really responsive,
It makes me wonder if the people that have written the bad reviews didn’t contribute to their problems with the staff.
I like the green space all around. I see deer fairly regularly. The community is quite diverse, mostly friendly and dogs are welcome. The recreation center, pool & computer room are nice and well maintained.

So far, it has been a great experience living here at the Lex apartments. I have been able to truly relax here. It is quiet, clean and just really a top notch place. I go to the on-​site gym often. I’m a big fan of the new elliptical and weight machines and enjoy the wonderful yoga room/​with TV’s. I feel safe here, safe enough to jog from the complex up just a mile to the old downtown area of Alpharetta. I also must add that Michele and Adele in the front office have been very inviting and responsive. My apartment interior is roomy and beautiful. The countertops are granite and the back wall is covered in glass tile. Just really well designed. I must add that I appreciate the trash load/​unload being under a covered area, actually a bit away from the units. It is easy to get to, yet not too close, and emptied often. A BIG PLUS! Ecstatic also, that the security gates are always closed. Again, safety is a priority for me. This place is close to everything/​shopping, 400, etc., but feels as if it is out, away from it all. Trees throughout. Great Place!

I recently relocated to Georgia from Chicago and by moving into the Lex I wish I would have never came here! Their staff (Michelle in particular) is so unprofessional and can care less about the tenants! My water has been shut off multiple times without proper notice (causing me to miss work) and the mantienance staff has been accessing my apartment without notice (luckily I have an alarm)! Also, The Lex takes poor care of their property and the garbage is always overflowing! I would not recommend this place to ANYONE; including a homeless man! I can’t wait for my lease to expire so I can get out of here!
