I had my bridal hair done by Scotty at this salon, and he was fantastic! I have very long, fine hair and he’s the first stylist who’s ever been able to make curls stay in my hair for more than 30 minutes. I think I looked pretty fantastic – and I plan on continuing to go back to him for future cuts.(I even referred my mother.)

The Mastery did such an awesome job on my hair and the personalities of the stylists were amazing! A great facility too! :)

They truly saved the day for me. I had an appointment that i made the day prior at the Esani Institute next door that a man had called and confirmed with me, I let him know i need a partial highlight and cut he made the appointment at 2pm. I happened to get done with my errands and decided to head on over there about 1:25, i arrive and check in, a woman comes over to verify services, then a gentleman comes over and explains he see s me on the books but they stop color appointments at 1, because they were short staffed, and he showed my apt at 1pm. I asked why no one called to tell me I was late, and explained that this was clarified yesterday on the confirmation call. they offered to take a percentage off my next visit, but explained they couldn’t perform the service that day… Said I might try to Mastery next door. I am going out of town in 2 days and it was past the point of needing to be cut and colored so i gave it a go… Frustrated I called over there and by some miracle they had an appointment at 2pm, I said Ill take it! and see ya in 5 min! I walked in and was warmly greeted. They asked if i had been there before and i told them no, i didn’t know that they existed, and was suggested I call them when my apt next door got screwy. My technician was Anya. She took me to her station, asked what i was looking for, i told her, but also said I was very open to her thoughts and opinions. We discussed the color and the cut and she took me on over to the color station. We did a partial highlight which ended up being about 30 foils id say? Bleached the hair first then went back and rinsed and put what seemed like a rinse with the color over it. As she rinsed and dried it i saw the color and I had asked for a caramel-red color which to any other person would be auburn *duh* :) and she hit the nail square on the head. I love the color!!! My only complaint, and its a small one is that there is a chunky highlight right in front of my ear, which looks very blatant, but again i can live with it, i like the color :) and if i part my hair to the side it blends well! So onto the cut! She took her time and precision cutting it, she took about 3 inches off. then added in some layers and took some weight off of it. She did a really really great job, its got life back in it and will curl on its own, she spun me around to see the back and had made the color to where the back is almost a 2 tone color with the varying lengths– LOOOVEIT! Its always weird to me to go to a hair place and have the informal small talk. Anya was not that type of stylist, she was quiet and kept to her self, checking in to see if i needed anything, water, a magazine etc, and im sure if i had initiated the convo she would have talked, but as it was i was frustrated from the other palce and not feelin stellar, so it was almost nice to have a peaceful afternoon, I think i even fell asleep while she was washing my hair… and the icing on the amazing cake, I walked over to pay, and they very generously charged me what i would have paid next door… not the regular salon prices they normally charged. I was shocked(in a good way, gave many thanks and a larger then normal tip, and booked my next appointment. These people are awesome!
