Uptown Cheapskate

Love this place to shop. I find the best deals on their sales racks and dollar bins! Their business model is along the same lines as Platos closet current trendy resale.

I really wish I would have taken a picture of the items they purchased from me. They were four pair of designer shorts and I only got $ 12. Are you kidding me? I dropped off the clothes and called back and that’s what they told me. They couldn’t relocate my items. I couldn’t gotten more on EBay. What a rip off!!! I’m never selling there again.

Great place to sell gently used men and women’s clothes! Friendly and quick and pay easy cash!

Fun store with great prices. Used and new items for newborns and children’s sizes in their Kids to Kids store next door and adult sizes in the Uptown Cheapskate store. I got some great deals. Huge inventory.

The cashiers are very friendly and the store has great clothes! You can sell your old clothes, trade clothes, and buy clothes that are very fashionable!

Lots of good teen wear, friendly staff, clean.

I’ve been in uptown a few times. The store is a little packed but organized. They have a pretty good collection of popular brands. Not alot for people over a size Xlarge because the brands like Target or Forever 21 run small. Its like a high end Goodwill store with low prices, better smelling clothes and popular styles other than polyester slacks or pit stained t-​shirts.

Went into the store at 5:30 last Sunday to sell, only to be told they were done buying for the day. Their website begs to differ, as the picture I posted shows. I told the girl working about this, and she proceeded to tell me they close at 6:00, but stop buying at 5:30. Again, NOT WHAT THE WEBSITE SAYS. She completely ignored what I had to say even though gas money was spent to come there, and my time was completely wasted. Get your facts straight Uptown!

I always enjoyed shopping here and went here frequently since it opened. I didn’t really have too many problems with them until recently. They are always posting deals and sales on Facebook and emailing them to you as well which is kind of cool. The only problem is that their employees are never aware of the sales that are going on. This ha happened on more than one occasion. I have to show them the email or Facebook post on my phone before they will give me a discount. At this point they are completely surprised there’s a sale going on. This last time was my final straw with them. On Thanksgiving day they posted on Facebook «tomorrow we will be having a blackfriday sale everything is 25% off» this was their Black Friday sale so we went there to shop got about $ 40 worth of items and they would not give me a discount. I showed them the Facebook post and they still completely denied that there was any kind of sale going on and tried to play it off like that that was posted for the day before. If that was the case then they would’ve been open on Thanksgiving which I know for fact they weren’t. I brushed it off and decided to deal with it later and paid for the items anyway. Later I called the store and asked to speak to the manager or how I can get in contact with the manager and they did everything they could not to let me speak with the manager and I never did end up speaking with a manager. So to make a long story short I will never be shopping here again
