I’ve Been here on two separate occasions for business dinners. I ordered the crab cake entrée both times and loved it! The crab cakes were cooked perfectly and had nice clumps of crab meat and very little to no filler. I love that the crab cakes were served on a bed fettuccine Alfredo made with fresh pasta and a vegetable medley. I definitely recommend Vinny’s. It’s perfection!

Vinny’s is the perfect«half way» meeting spot for me and two of my girlfriends and we always look forward to our dinners here. The service is great, everyone is friendly and helpful, the food is delicious and I love the wine list.

We had an awesome dinner there last night. Service and food were both excellent. The risotto was cooked to perfection! The atmosphere was perfect for a night out. I would highly recommend this restaurant!

Decided to eat at Vinny’s after eating at Bistro VG last night. Good choice! While the waitress seemed a tad dismissive, the food was outstanding. Ate the Insalata Di Mozzarella and the Scaloppine Di Pollo. Loved them both. Waitress added basil on the insalata, per my request. Would eat at another of the Sedgwick restaurants in a second. Sure, there’s a lot of overlap in menus(with the same items having different names at each restaurant), but the food is excellent.

I was impressed with the food here, being from the NY area I’ve always been a bit disappointed with the Italian outside of the area so I was pleasantly surprised. I was in the area visiting some potential future office site and was Unilocaling places that were relatively close to our hotel as nobody felt like traveling too far. Let me tell you my fellow Unilocalers came through again. Thanks y’all !!! I started with the INSALATADIRUCOLA E PERE(pear-arugula salad, spiced pecans, aged goat cheese, shallot & cherry vinaigrette). I expected cherry extract or juice but it came with plump bits of cherries which complimented the aged goat cheese well. Next I had CARPACCIODIMANZO(thinly sliced beef sirloin, parmigiano, dijon mustard sauce, fried capers, arugula, e.v.o.o.) — The fried capers was an excellent touch and was more of a tasty, briny croûton as opposed to the regular soft caper that usually comes. Lastly I shared one of the specials with a co-worker. Homemade GNOCCHICONPOLPETTEDIVITELLA(creamy potato gnocchi with veal meatballs, Vinny’s tomato sauce — Chuncky sweet tomato sauce). Again Great meal, great ambiance, and our waitress was very helpful and personal it made our experience that much better. The only down side was the valet. There was a bit of a line and he was insistent on making us wait for him to get the car meanwhile we could see the car parked 4 spots over.

Not a huge fan that there is valet for lunch but I’m not docking them for this. This place has some of the best mussels I’ve had. They’re cooked well and the broth is amazing– white wine, butter, cream, garlic, the usual but very well done. You’re going to have to dip the bread in the sauce. Yes it’s highly caloric, but it’s worth it. We got the truffle mushroom pizza– high on the truffle flavor without being overpowering. The crust is thin and holds up the pizza well. My boyfriend loves the sausage pizza– not my favorite, but I’m just more of a fan of extra saucy pizzas if it’s going to have meat on it. Crisp still great. The pomodoro soup is basically very good ripe tomatoes, onions, maybe carrots, and maybe celery pureed with some chicken broth. Very food, very fresh tasting, very simple. We will definitely be back for at least the mussels!

Spent $ 20+ with tip for lunch. Drank water and had chicken parm. Super busy for lunch. Food was pretty tasty but not sure it was worth that price. Service was just ok.

The ambiance and architecture is super in my opinion and we love this loft, industrial feel with a tad of Italian renaissance thrown in! It received a 4 for a several reason(building, some of the food and the drinks) It missed the mark on a couple items too! However lets discuss the good first! Its more fun! The Cod was a nice large, beefy portion but the vegetables were minimal so order a salad with it. The sauce was very good too! Definitely a thumbs up on this meal! The crab cakes were unbelievably good, fresh, moist but super, super rich!!! Wow, loved those! Prepare to share or use this as a main entrée with a salad because they are large. The scallops were good too(little too salty on the appetizer dish but very moist) however as a main dish with the risotto, my friend said it was very good as well! Now lets chat about the elephant in the room… Server was really rough! There were 25 of us there with a group at 6pm last night(so you have a time stamp for who our server was). I usually get to know the server because finding out their personality and getting to know them, really makes the experience all that much better in my opinion. This guy was obviously not happy to be there and it showed from the moment he walked up to our table! We truly felt like we were a bother! The ribeye that my husband was really large but it burnt around edges(ordered medium) and was soon dry and tough! We did not return it because its always tough with a large group and we didn’t want them to have to wait for us as we came over in a shuttle. The person clearing the dishes spilled dirty utensils on my blouse and jacket that was on my chair but honestly, she was so nice and friendly and joking with me that I just didn’t care that I have to dry clean both. I will take great customer service over accidents all day long… Now… had that server been the one to drop it on me, this would be a different story! I feel like I went above and beyond and 4 is probably quite generous but really only the ribeye and server were disappointing… the rest deserved the good score!

Can you believe I’ve never been to Vinny’s? Had I any idea what I was missing my first visit would’ve taken place 5 years ago when I moved to the area. Right off the bat is one of my favorite things– valet parking. I may be in the minority here but I feel special when someone opens my door for me and then handles the parking. Yes, you have to tip the guys but really, if you can afford Vinny’s prices you can afford $ 4 – 5 for a valet. The interior of the restaurant matches the style of the outside, brick and beautiful. We did not have a reservation but the hostess still seated us immediately. There was a small snafu with the seating, she put us at the end of a large table that already contained 20 loud, boisterous businessman. We had told her it was our anniversary so we were a little perplexed about that location. When our extraordinarily nice server, Mila, appeared we asked about moving and she immediately went to talk to the hostess. We really didn’t mean to be a bother and told Mila that we would just tough it out but she insisted on getting the manager to take care of us when the hostess fell through. The manager herself, a lovely woman who’s name I did not get, led us to a table that couldn’t have been more perfect. The food was as good as the service. An exceptional antipasto platter preceded a meal of tortellini(obviously made with homemade pasta) for me and the rack of lamb for my dining parter. Both entrees were even better than expected. To top it all off the lovely Vinny’s staff packed us up an anniversary dessert that included tiramisu, biscotti and berries. It was very much enjoyed and appreciated. We will be back soon and often!

Great food. Very poor service. A customer shouldn’t need to ask to «order» or for«the check.»

I don’t know what happened to this place but it is not the same. Went here on my wife’s birthday and the service was abysmal. Managers and wait staff were standing around while we waited for food. The food was poorly prepared and as listless as the wait staff and management. The crab cakes are a disgrace and we did not taste anything worth the money. After having taken friends here before on several occasions I will not be back. Much better options in Alpharetta now.

My compliments to the chef! :) we had a fantastic meal and a fantastic night. For an appetizer, my boyfriend had the pear salad. The Brie cheese on this salad was to die for. I had the crab cakes, and they were perfectly creamy and crisp at the same time. The carpaccio was very flavorful, but not overpowering. The pear tart for dessert was the bomb. We were already full, but couldn’t stop eating until we finished the whole thing. Doug Fallon, the executive chef, deserves a standing ovation. Well done, sir.

Vinny’s misses the mark on several points. I pulled into the parking lot and there were several spaces right by the front door. I pulled into a space and got out, only to be shouted at by a young man parking a convertible that all parking around the restaurant was«paid valet parking». Since I was already parked, I thought it silly that he should want me to get back into my car, drive it a few feet to his«drop off zone» and let him park my car. Really, what they are doing is charging rent for parking. The valet pointed to a parking lot across a busy driveway(to the hotel) where parking was free. We parked here, and then dodged traffic while carrying our three year old. We entered the restaurant and there were two hostesses having a conversation. They didn’t greet us or even look at us. I let them go on for about thirty seconds before interrupting their very important conversation. I ordered a Rob Roy on the rocks; the pour was average, not generous, and they forgot the garnish. Clam chowder was unremarkable other than to point out it was warm, not hot. The grilled artichoke appetizer with buerre blanc was good. My son’s lasagna was not as good as Stouffer’s frozen lasagna(really), my wife’s rigatoni was somehow overcooked and dry at the same time, and my halibut was as dry as cotton balls. We will not be back; we will be going to Trattoria 141 instead.

I had the Trota Con Polenta. The top filet was well prepared and cooked however they hid a less than average piece of fish in the bottom. The polenta cakes were very good but overtook the plate with their out out proportion size compared to the fish and the small under sautéed spinach. Not worth the price in my opinion for just the food however the atmosphere was great as well as the staff if they could just find someone to cook great food it would be a great place.

Very classy and refined décor and lively ambiance. The restaurant has a romantic feel to it, which makes it date-friendly. The staff is very friendly. I ordered the Pizza Ai Funghi, which definitely hit the(pizza) spot. The combo of the truffle oil, melted gruyère cheese, and roasted mushrooms on their handmade crust was heavenly. Their pizzas are large! Big enough to feed 2 – 3 people and are around $ 11 – 14.

3.75 stars. Vinnies is solid Italian food on Windward in Alpharetta. It’s way better than Macaroni or Olive Garden. It won’t get confused with Alfredo’s Della Scrofa or maybe the more familiar Carmine’s or Il Mulino, but the price point, ambience and food are perfect for a nice Italian meal out with family or maybe a casual date. The Calamari app is very good, as is the chicken parm entrée, but you will be happy with everything at Vinnies. Service by Elliott or Cindy is efficient. Mangia, Alpharetta!

Ordered the Veal Scallopini and got an amazingly small amount of Veal. It was more accurately a gnocchi dish with a small amount of Veal. Table of 5 and we had one request to make a vodka sauce and the chef said he was too busy. Too busy to mix some half and half into some marinara? Come on. There are so many other better options in Alpharetta. We won’t be returning to this one.

Went here for a business lunch. They have a very«fancy» menu, and the interior is beautiful. I was a bit disappointed with my selection, which was the orzo with shrimp and scallops. It was almost like a pasta salad vs. a real meal. Nothing had seasoning and the whole dish was lacking in flavor. I wouldn’t go out of my way to go back. Service was a little sketchy. We were waited on by the bar tender and the back was clear across from where we were sitting. If I do end up back here, I would try the chicken parm. That looked amazing.

Nice ambiance. Very good service. Went here for a business meeting so decided to keep it simple. Got the chicken parmigano with fettucine alfredo. Huge portions. Chicken was a little overcooked but flavorful. The menu looked very fancy and there are a lot of varieties to try out. Might go again to do that.
