Place has great service and amazing meats. Very helpful… Ended up going with New York strip and chicken sausage… The steak was better quality then anyone else that I’ve seen in a large radius. Sausage was tasty and went amazing with peppers and onions. Should be on everyone’s list for places to get meat and sausage.

Went for the first time and picked up some chicken sausage, it was delicious. Will definitely be going back. The display case isn’t too big, but the menu behind it had a wider selection of items that maybe aren’t on display.

Dropped my Costco membership for Woody’s. Needed a place for good choice cut to order meats. Woody cuts my NY Strip 2″ thick. Perfect marbling and grills fantasticly. I buy my beef ribs here. They look like the ribs from the old Fred Flintstone show. Six ribs was close to nine pounds. They smoked wonderfully. Sausage is good. Nice thick pork chops. Woody is a genuinely a nice person. Can get a little slow on Saturday morning, but it is nice to discuss what everyone is grilling that night while we wait in line.

Meats and brats are fantastic! The issue with Woodys has to do with call in orders around busy times. Twice now I have placed an order and show up and they can’t find it written down. One time they had the meat to still fill the order but another time they didn’t. Very disappointing that Woody can’t find competent people to properly take orders for him.

Been looking for a good sausage to put in my spaghetti sauce, the hot Italian hits the spot. Perfect for grilling too.

Thank goodness Woodys opened up in Alpharetta. The meat is excellent and there are weekly specials like smoked brisket and white bean chicken chili. Yum! And Woody will go out of his way to accommodate any special requests. I highly recommend the bone-in ribeye. He also makes his own sausage and brats. You won’t want to buy prepackaged brats ever again.

Literally located a block past the intersection of Hwy 9 and McFarland, I couldn’t freakin believe this place has been here for a year and my buddies and I just went last week. To give you an idea, my buddies(whose house I spend a fair amount of time at) house is less than a ¼ mile away, and drive by the strip at least 5 – 6 times a week. What originally was going to be a trip to Kroger to get some steaks, I used my hefty little Unilocal app and Woody’s came up. You better believe we checked it out, what did we have to lose? After banging our heads into the wall after seeing where it was, when we came inside, we saw they were celebrating their 1 year anniversary(not oblivious at all…)… There were 2 young females up front, one taking orders, and the other doing the cashiering(maybe they were Woody’s daughters? Not sure, didn’t ask). After looking at the mind boggling selection of meats, I saw what they had for show, and I saw some damn good ribeyes(bone in). and told them I wanted 4, 1″ thick cut. I also wanted 2 lbs of pork loin as well. After the order was put in, Woody came out and we spoke with him– he was very friendly! We also inquired if he processed deer, but he does not(you must be in a different facility). A few minutes later, we got everything cut to order, and packaged nicely. The total was around $ 75, but if you see the pictures I took, that was some decent meat. Oh yea, his ground meats and bacon looked absolutely amazing, cannot wait to go back and try them! The prices are great here, and after finding out about it, this is my new go to place whenever we have a cookout. They also sell charcoal, water, rubs, and some flavored cheez-its. Honestly, if you have a cooler, I would suggest making a trip up here if you live closer to the perimeter– consider it a small scale Dekalb Farmer’s Market butcher! I love finding out about gems, only wishing I knew about it sooner. Thanks Woody and crew!

Folks I only write reviews mostly around the best and the places to avoid. We do a fair amount of entertaining as well just having a good sausage to grill out. Woody’s Meat Market on hwy 9 near McFarland is superb! We have gotten his sausages(homemade and different flavors– love the green onion!) and beef tenderloin. We have served his beef tenderloin at two different parties of 10 – 35 people, and are always asked where we got the meat because it is so good! Prices are extremely reasonable, and Woody himself makes you feel like a friend! Must give this place a try for you next cookout or just to enjoy some steaks for two!
