Flapjack Pancake House

Came here for breakfast and were blown away!
We had pancakes, French toast, hash browns and breakfast potatoes and everything was delicious!
The orange juice was fresh squeezed, it was really refreshing.
The service was also super friendly.
We look forward to coming back on our next trip to California

Great food. Had the Apple cinnamon French toast special. So much food in the combo. A little dark and dreary inside but a great place to stop on the road. Great service. Coffee just ok and wish they had fresh cream instead of packets.

Found this little place while driving through. Large variety of options, large portions. I’ll remember this place and come back!

Franco’s is great, LOVE the dinner, so good! The vegis with the dinners are fresh and amazing. We were SO full last night… boxed up two large «lunches» for the next coming days. The fried chicken breast is so good… salmon was fresh and nice, mashed potatoes are homemade and yummy, chicken friend steak was loved by youngest daughter! Yay, great food… eat in, dine outside with pet, take home… nice Alpine option now for dinner. (Breakfast is more than great and filling too!)

Good food and friendly service. Price is in the middle range.
Sometimes they are a little lax on the opening time but otherwise very good.
Drop in for breakfast, lunch, or now dinner.

If you live in Alpine, I’m sure you already know about Flat Jacks (best meals in town). If your not a local and your in the area, it is so worth the stop.
I have eaten at some pretty good Restaurants and this place not only serves a great meal they also have damn good service. The cook is a gourmet cook and every meal that comes out of the kitchen is like heaven.
Stop on by, you won’t regret it.

Well I tried this place for the first time 8 days ago and I’ve eaten here 5 out of the last 8 days… I think I like it. :-) I have had breakfast, lunch, and dinner here and everything has been excellent!
The resturant sits off in the back corner in a shopping center and we call it «the hidden gem.» The resturant is small but they have quite a bit of outdoor seating as well. It’s clean and the service has been superb everytime.
They have a very extensive menu. We’ve enjoyed the omelets, pancakes, burgers, country fried steak, salad, and fish and chips. The portions are huge. They also have some of the best homemade salsa. Tonight was the first time we had dessert. We enjoyed the fried ice cream and it was OFF THE HOOK. It was good vanilla ice cream with crunchy yuminess, topped with whipped cream, chocolate, and caramel drizzle. I recommend you save some room for dessert.
Whether you’re in the mood for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, you’re sure to find something that fits your fancy here.
Oh this place is good for kids too. Kids meals are only $ 5.00 and there are lots of options for them.

Definitely wanted to try an alternative to Janet’s and found this place. Food was very good, service was inviting, ambience wasn’t anything to sneeze about. But it’s a breakfast house so don’t go in expecting to take in scenery and have a genuine alpine experience like Janet’s. I give this place 5 stars because Francos does breakfast right and they don’t try to be fancy about it. Solid plates, solid staff, and fair pricing should be more than enough to stop by Francos.

Quaint place for breakfast with indoor booths and outdoor dining. Generous portions of food. Service was fantastic! Great prices! They also serve lunch and dinner.

This was a cute place. Our waitress was super friendly and sweet, 5 stars for her!
The food portions were HUGE! The pancakes I got were the size of dinner plates, plus they came with eggs and either sausage or bacon. The coffee was delicious.
The only negative (and the reason I took away a star) was that the bacon I got was way over cooked and seemed old. If I picked it up and dropped it on the plate I think it would’ve turned to dust. Also the pancakes were just a tiny bit overcooked. Not burnt, but just tough to cut up.
Overall everything was great and we would definitely go back.

Can’t say enough good things about this place. Pancakes were out of this world. Potatoes were perfect. Fast and friendly service. We will be back.

This is our favorite stop on the way to hikes in the mountains. Their meals are home cooked, fresh, and affordable. The coffee is top notch as well (Farmers Brothers). Everytime we come here we receive really friendly service, it’s definitely a small town vibe we don’t often get down in the city. Plus the food comes up quick and is reasonably portioned, which we like so we can get on with our day! This is definitely a better spot than the over priced too-​big plate place down the road. Who wants to have to take leftovers to go when you have a day of hiking ahead of you?

Subpar food. Biscuit & gravy was ok. Gravy good, biscuit rubbery.

The place could use some sprucing up. It lacks «atmosphere». For having outdoor tables, they should really create a more inviting décor. The outdoor tables feel like you got the cheap seats and are basically eating in a parking lot

Just walked in, the smell of bacon overwhelmed me. I knew it was time for breakfast. I ordered the bacon and eggs with pancakes and hashbrowns. Eggs were a little runny, but made up for it in taste. Pancakes were amazing, and the bacon had a nice crisp/​flavor ratio. And to end it all off with their top notch coffee. I will be coming back for more soon.

Pros: Friendly, pretty and accommodating food server.
Cons: How do you call yourself Franco’s Flapjacks when the pancakes are from a mix? Large, but nothing special.
Eggs did not come out as ordered, but quickly corrected. Bf said his spicy omelet with Italian sausage added was GOOD!

The food quality and portion is superb. The staff was very patient, friendly and accommodating with my family. Highly recommend anyone whom is in this area.

Small little old school breakfast joint.
Has just become my go to place for breakfast.
Staff is very friendly and take the time to talk to you like a real person.
Food was omg good, and twice as much as I could eat.
Had the County Benedict. 3 eggs, 2 sausages and hash browns. The biscuits seemed like they were just made.
Even the Cooke is smooth.
