All 3 of my kids went to this neighborhood school. What a delightful experience this was as a parent. It’s a true crime that this school had been closed down. With all the tax we pay this school should be open. Shame on you pasadena school board.

I went to Burbank from K-​6, can still name all of my teachers. I can still picture exactly where my classrooms were, although they tore down the original 2 story portion long after we left.. I clearly remember being in Mrs. Elmore’s 5th grade class when the principal came to our room to tell us that President Kennedy had been assassinated. A very sad day for all.
I am 60 years and can still remember singing the School Alma Mater as we, the 6th graders, finished our last day. I was in tears. I knew I would no longer get to be a big shot kid, but a bullied 7th grader at Marshall Jr. High… and boy did I predict that one correctly! Would love to repeat my elementary days at Burbank, they were the best!
