I have had the pleasure of working for Five Acres for the last year and a half. It is a very well organized, mission and client-driven organization. Accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges(WASC) the Therapeutic School offers students K-10 who have struggled in other settings, a chance for academic success. The clinicians are dedicated and hard working. Although I do not work directly with the children, I see the social workers and clinicians(all the way up to senior leadership) show love, compassion and support for the kids and their families. Purposeful, team-oriented and a fun place to work!

5 acres is terrible place to be. They will hit you up for a donation every chance they get. The place seems run down along with the neighborhood. Note the barbed wire fences. I would want my kid there

Five Acres is a non-public school that caters to children with several diagnoses for example ED, ADHD, MR and Autism. My son has been at this school for 5 years. The staff at this school has been a saving grace for my son. The staff cares about each and every child. Their program is about helping children learn the tools to make the right decisions in life both academically and socially. Unfortunately the school only goes up to 10th grade and this is my son’s last year there. The people at Five Acres have taught my son how to socialize appropriately, how to problem solve and they always encourage him academically. This school, by far, has one of the best teams any child could ever have to help them develop into responsible and able young adults.
