I had a tall order — something pretty specialized and with a ridiculously quick turn around. I scoured Unilocal reviews and even though I needed a quick turn around, I opted to wait an extra day (waited till Tuesday because they’re closed on Monday) because I really wanted to try Merge. Denise was up for the challenge and delivered the most perfect gift for a colleague. Great craftsmanship and very good prices. I’ve had dozens of pieces framed prior to moving to Southern California earlier this year and am so happy to have found Merge. I will definitely be returning soon. Best place, ever!

Man, do I love Merge. Don’t be put off by the «by appointment only.» I had no problem making appoinments that fit my schedule. In fact, Denise even delivered one of the pieces she had framed for me to my own home!
Denise stayed in close contact with me, letting me know promptly about a backorder on one of the frames I had chosen for a photograph.
Even better, Denise works to fit into her customers’ price range. She doesn’t push expensive choices, but listens to her customers’ wishes and works within them. The three pices she did for me – one painting, one print, and one photograph – are all flattered by her work and look fantastic on the wall. And, they didn’t break the bank.
Use Merge. It’s a local company with a big heart, and a real focus on serving the customer effectively.

Here is a picture framing business that obviously does not need customers. Good for them! This business is by appointment only — in Altadena of all places. Went today (Saturday) at 12:30 pm and they were not open. Good grief. No sign other than call us and we will meet you. Really? I need to stop my day and call you to open your business? Sorry guys, you may be great but that certainly isn’t my opinion.

Merge is the best frame shop around, hands down! The selection and craftsmanship are great, and their prices are very reasonable for such high quality.
They also do amazing custom work, as one of the owners, Ian, used to make furniture, so he can create anything you want. You don’t get that at other frame shops, unless you pay a small fortune.
Denise and Ian are friendly and helpful, which makes it even more pleasant. I’m a professional artist, so I have used many local frame shops, but now Merge is my «go to» shop. I have always been very happy with the results!

I was looking for a local framer when I stumbled on Merge and couldn’t be more happy! Denise and Ian are great. They worked closely with me, listening to my wishes and making suggestions I wouldn’t have thought of. I have had 9 pictures framed there and they all came out wonderful! I will absolutely go back!

Beautiful work at incredible prices. Denise is lovely. She framed a painting my 3 year old did and handled it like it was for a museum wall. It looks stunning! Merge is an unbelievable find!

Denise and Ian are awesome… I had a portrait framed there, and they helped me with ideas, made it look amazing and got it done on time and with a sincere smile and kind word.
I will never EVER go to Micheal’s for my framing needs ever again… they have beautiful art showing on the walls and local plants for sale… they are all about their community. I love supporting community businesses!
