Stopped by after the fair. Good prices and good portions. The ice cream (a shake and twinkle cone) were both delish. Plus there’s a great little park behind it so you can take a walk while eating your treat and not feel so guilty.

The Dairy Bar is the reward we offer the kids for a job well done.
We pass through Altamont on our way home from Lake Sara and stop from time to time, especially if we’ve worked hard on our fixer-​upper lakehouse.
We always get chocolate shakes — thick, rich, chocolate yumminess. I’m sure they’re a caloric nightmare, so I just block those thoughts out.
The «food» part of the menu looks to be heavy on the fried-​side, with some salads, pizzas, etc. Keep thinking about the Walleye platter, though. maybe some day.
