Excellent warm chocolate cake… With the chocolatey sauce and fresh whipped cream, divine for chocoholics :-)

I usually visit the Winter Springs Macaroni Grill which is fabulous! However the food at this location is really poor. I ordered a fettuccini Alfredo and the noodles were so hard I spent the evening digging them out of my teeth. I sent it back and ordered another fettuccini Alfredo which came out just as hard and with LESS flavor. The restaurant was practically empty and the service was very slow. Thankfully the chef acknowledged me when I came in because there was no greeter and the manager on duty was having dinner at table in the front of the restaurant. My table waiter was very kind but in comparison with the Winter Springs location the service in Altamonte was somewhat dismissive.

Just finished up working and was looking for my Italian Dinner and this place closed at 10pm. I entered at 9:40 after a trying day I expecting frowns on my arrival… Instead I got great service and great food. Just what the doctor ordered… God Bless to ALL…

We have not been back since, but when we went there the service was terrible and the food was received way after it was prepared. The restaurant was totally empty. When I wrote the general manager I never heard anything back. We go elsewhere now.

About 20 of us went for lunch, we called ahead the previous day to let them know we were coming. It was a Friday and there were 2 – 3 other tables already seated when we arrived. It took over an hour for us to get our food, 1 never got fed, another was fed after most were done eating. 90% of us ordered from the $ 7 in 7 minutes menu and were told that since we had such a large group they would have the waitress take the order. Obviously waiting an hour for food should have meant our meal would be free, but no one received a free meal. We waited forever to get our checks and then proceeded to wait forever for them to come back. A number of them were wrong and had additional items on them that no one ordered. So we waited again, to the point that we were all standing up by our tables walking around because we were very restless. I ordered the Caprese Sandwich and didn’t finish over half of it because it was so oily and soggy, gross. Total time spent there — 2 ½ hours!

We had booked a large family High School Graduation dinner for my niece’s graduation at Macaroni Grille. We were seated in a private dining area in the back of the restaurant. It was a nice room, but it was so hot. We asked repeatedly for the temperature to be adjusted to make it more bearable, but it never really got comfortable. There was a preset menu for our group, with a few choices of appetizers and entrees, which made it easy for the group. Our service was not very good as it took forever just to get our first round of drinks. They had us circle our dinner choices on the preprinted menus, which I thought was a bit impersonal. The food service continued to be slow and unpredictable. The food quality and portions were very good. We enjoyed stuffed mushrooms, calamari, and bruschetta for appetizers. A nice Caesar salad was served. I had the shrimp pasta, which was very good. Overall the food was very good, but the service and the uncomfortable room temperature made it an experience that did not meet the expectations of the group.

Not worth the money. Service was slow, food overcooked… bad presentation… Manager very friendly and accommodating. Hopefully things will improve.

This was my first time to a Macaroni Grill. I went here on a weeknight with 3 others. Although the impression I had from others was that this was an «upscale» chain, the staff seemed all young and were a bit unprofessional. For example, as we were greeting the hostess, one of the waitresses came over and interrupted for a minute to joke about something personal while we stood there. Otherwise the service was decent for us. The food was stunningly bad. I had checked out their menu before arriving and was shocked that a restaurant that specializes in Italian food(invoking all the classic names and descriptors) could taste like this. The sauce tasted exactly like what comes out of a can of «Crushed Tomatoes» or «Tomato Sauce», with perhaps a bit of added salt, and since nearly everything we ordered had some kind of this sauce it was all rendered basically unsavory. Extremely bland and out of a can. I had the Pollo Caprese, which was marked as Low Cal, yet was bathed in an actual pool of olive oil, with a heap of pasta with mozarella chunks. There is no way that what was on that plate was any less than 800 calories. I sampled all of the other food brought to the table as well, and it all has similar issues. The person with me that ordered Chicken Parm commented that it tasted like Spaghettios. It seems like this is the kind of place that tries to present some kind of refined atmosphere but invests nothing on the actual food. If you want a real dining experience and decent food go somewhere else.

I dined here for lunch today and had one of the most pleasant restaurant experiences of my life. Meighan was my server and very friendly and professional. :) Even the manager Brian came over to check on me and make sure everything was better than good and it was. I thought that was a really nice way to be treated and he made me feel like my business was appreciated. The food was out quickly and very good. I had the chicken marsala and it was magnificent! Every part of my experience was enjoyable and I will be back very soon. I recommend the Altamonte Springs location to anyone looking for a very pleasant dining experience and you will leave feeling greatly appreciated for your visit!!!

I pulled into this parking lot of this restaurant and haven’t ever been to a macaroni grill before so I checked the reviews. The reviews aren’t the best so I was seconds away from turning around but decided to go because we were pretty hungry. The inside is nice and made me feel underdressed for wearing jeans and a tshirt. The waiter was honestly the best waiter that I’ve had in a long time. She was very personable and friendly. We ordered goat cheese peppers and they were fabulous! We had a Cesar salad which was nothing special but not bad. We got the farmhouse flatbread which was pretty good. The total was less than expected and was an overall enjoyable experience. Definitely will be coming here again.

This was probably THEMOST ridiculous dining experience of my life. We walked in and put in our name with the hostess at 6:50PM and were told it would be a 20 – 30 minute wait. Half the restaurant was empty but it was obvious they were short-staffed. There was a man in a white chef outfit screaming out orders by the open kitchen, Kitchen-Nightmares style which was rather annoying. My husband decided to grab a beer at the bar while we waited. It took him a good 20 minutes to get his beer and walk back to where I was sitting, because the UNDERAGEBARTENDER was asking him if his beer was good, as she’d be able to drink in a month when she turns 21. I’m blown away that they’re staffing a bar with an underage employee. I want to note that she was NOT in training and the three hours we were there, she was the only person back there. When we were finally called by the hostess to be seated, the underage bartender ran in front of us and argued that we needed to be seated in her section because she already«served us» and she had been cheated out of tables all night. I should have said something right there, because our service was god awful. It took her 15 minutes to take our drink orders, as she had to keep running back to the bar to make drinks for other patrons there. After 25 minutes we recieved our waters and a dish of olive oil that she proceeded to dump a cup of pepper into, unasked. 15 minutes after that we were given a square of bread. After going back to «her bar»(which tells me she is regularly scheduled there) a few more times, we were finally able to order our meals. My husband ordered a fatbread(which is a fatter flatbread) and she made a remark like«you do know that’s going to take 20 minutes to cook right?» Uh yeah, food usually takes time to cook, does it not? Our food, like everything else, took awhile to arrive(it was 8:40PM at this point). When it finally arrived by a member of the kitchen team, my husband was given a pepporoni pizza, not the farmhouse fatbread he had ordered. By this time we had already contemplated leaving a few different times so he refused to even bring the issue up. Everything would have gone much faster if their bartender wasn’t trying to tend bar AND wait on tables. She also stood around talking to us about her personal relationship and how her boyfriend wants to get her pregnant, etc. which made it incredibly awakward and unenjoyable. It was like there were 3 of us dining and not just my husband and I(who I actually came to dine with)! It’s pretty much impossible to end a conversation when you’re stuck sitting in a booth and can’t order or eat until the person who wont stop talking takes your order… Before she would bring our check, she kept insisting that we pretend it was our birthday for free dessert. We kept declining and she finally brought us our check. The food was pretty good. I ordered the mushroom ravioli and it was very good. I will definitely be going to other Macaroni Grill’s to order it again, just never never never EVER this location.
