Small, but exactly what I need when I need to get some stuff done. I usually get distracted when I am at home, so I like to go to the Library to get things done in a timely manner. The staff is very sweet, free wi-fi, and everyone there is very considerate.

Nice library, not to small with plenty of books and computers, this library has been here for years. This library is much bigger then the one near by in Maitland but not as rich in history like the one in Maitland, I still like coming in here to check books out or just do some research and also the staff is nice.

I lived in Altamonte for about 6 years before ever visiting the city library. It’s VERY small, but has its good points. 1) DVDs!(Only 2 per patron and only for 1 week, but hey! DVDs!) And some of them are current/new! 2) The staff!(Or maybe they are volunteers) Some of these people are pushing 70, but are sharp as tacks. 3) The quaintness! There is a computer catalog, but your books still get date stamped.(Like in the old days.) 4) The location! Check out that little park in the back!(But maybe not after dark, k?) Of course, due to its smallness, the Altamonte library does not have a large selection of books(or DVDs). However, it’s a GREAT supplement to OCLS and SCPL. And I haven’t used them, but there are computers for personal use.
