I have been a patient of Dr. Craig N. deFreese for about ten years and I can only say great things about him and his staff. I have had«female issues» ever since I hit puberty and had a heck of a time trying to get a proper diagnosis and decent care. I must have seen at least five different OB/GYN and Reproductive Endocrinologists in the area before becoming a patient of Dr. deFreese. Dr. deFreese has a pleasant and calm demeanor. He listens to your concerns, asks questions if needed, and provides thoughtful and knowledgeable answers. He is courteous and never speaks down to you(which I have had other«top» doctors do). He is interested in learning about your lifestyle and health habits and how these other habits influence your health. I have found that Dr. deFreese keeps current with the latest prescriptions, treatments, and procedures. I have had two operations performed by Dr. deFreese and both went very well. I hadn’t been a patient of his very long before having my first surgery and was very nervous, but when I was being checked into the hospital everyone I interacted with just raved about him. Several of the nurses said that they all go to him and the anesthesiologist said he is one of the best doctors he has ever worked with. In both instances my stitches were done with care and my scaring was minimal. Dr. deFreese is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology. His office, Devoted to Women, is located adjacent to Florida Hospital Altamonte. The insurance plans he accepts(at the time this review was written) are: Aetna, Assurant, AvMed, BlueCross BlueShield, CIGNA, Humana, Medicare(Part B), Private Healthcare Systems, Inc.(PHCS), and United HealthCare. If you do not have an insurance plan he is currently offering 50% discounts to all self pay patients(excludes labs). His office staff has always been friendly, courteous, and efficient… something I have found to be lacking in other doctors’ offices. *Please note that despite what the Unilocal category states Dr. deFreese does not do Obstetrics any longer and focuses only on Gynecology.*
