I called this company after the plumber who repaired a leak suggested there may be mold growth resulting from water beneath the house. After freaking out over the extent of the damage and the cost to repair, I called Servpro around 10pm on a Wednesday night. Planning to leave a message and arrange an inspection the next morning, I was shocked when someone answered the phone. David was willing to come out that night to inspect the damage, but I insisted that it could wait until the morning. The Servpro guys came out the next morning; they tested for mold in the closet adjacent to the bathroom where the leak originated. Then, they crawled under the house and took pictures of the damage. After showing me the pictures, they explained my options(which included tearing up my hardwood floors) and asked about my home insurance coverage. They also offered to call my insurance company and work with them to determine my coverage. While I truly appreciate Servpro’s customer service and speedy response, I find myself questioning their willingness to call my insurance company… maybe because they never told me an estimate of how much they would charge. They did, however, suggest alternatives in the case that my policy does not include mold coverage. I like this company and the inspection they performed, but because it is an extensive home repair, I think I will get a second opinion just to be sure.
