Didn’t get to see the doctor. After talking to four people, two of which were rude, I am writing this review. They require the last two months of medical records from a previous doctor to make a new patient appointment. I have just moved here and all of my medical records indicate I am extremely healthy. I haven’t been seeing anyone related to this issue. Why make your patients jump through hoops? I was told many years ago that I have mild scoliosis and may get tension headaches. I haven’t been treated for this for years so I am not sure what my health records would show. In this modern world, they should be able to email me a medical release form and they can request it. This was not offered. My understanding is Obama has made medical records electronic(or is in the process), so this should not be that difficult. When I asked for the number to the office of Dr. Kent, the woman on the phone sighed in an annoyed way when I asked her to repeat it. She simply rattled it off too quickly. I didn’t understand why this was annoying. I asked for an office manager but could not reach one and the second phone person was annoyed when I asked. I started off as friendly. I can expect this if I am rude. Finally, I had enough and met their rudeness with my dissatisfaction. I will find another doctor with better staff. It starts with your staff. I was speaking with the call center each time. How many people out there have had a great doctor but dreaded dealing with the staff?

I saw Dr. Kent for the first time, and I simply love him. No other words can describe. Six months ago I hurt my back lifting furniture and had a large disc herniation which required surgery. After surgery I have been plagued with as much pain as I had prior to surgery. I have seen several doctors looking for an answer and all of them simply had no clue as to what was causing the pain, or simply wanted to perform another, and more expensive back surgery. Through my research, I realized the proposed second surgery has an even smaller amount of success. Meanwhile I sought for my own answers. Trying more physical therapy, massage, acupuncture, countless pain pills, muscle relaxers, and anti-inflammatories and still feel like doo doo… After seeing Dr. Kent today, I am so very confident I am in the right hands. I have never in my life actually felt the compassion that Dr. Kent had for me from any other doctor.(One parent, and 4 siblings of mine are Dr.‘s if that helps put it into perspective!) Everything he mentioned made complete sense, and he is not quick to push a surgery or costly regiments your way. I found The Kent Clinic online and they had 5 star reviews, then I noticed he is a D.O. rather than an M.D., and specialized in pain and Physiatry which is exactly what I needed! For those of you unfamiliar, the definition is below! If you have chronic pain, any muscular, or skeletal issues, DONOT hesitate to call! The longer you wait is only worse you. Physiatrists, or rehabilitation physicians, are nerve, muscle, and bone experts who treat injuries or illnesses that affect how you move. Rehabilitation physicians are medical doctors who have completed training in the medical specialty of physical medicine and rehabilitation(PM&R). Bless You All, and Dr. Kent and his Team!
