We took a mini weekend vacation to Alton to see a friend’s band, Boarderline, play at Fast Eddies Bön Air. We usually stay a Hampton Inns but they don’t have one in Alton. We picked the one that looked the nicest. Walked in to a nice clean environment, staff was friendly.
They gave us a room. When we got up to it it smelled of smoke. We went back down to the desk and she gave us another room with no problem. The room was nice and clean. The shower was nice and I liked the soap, bath and body works. There was even a «fresh» remote for the TV.

We stay here often (10 or more days annually). We have never been disappointed. Staff is very accommodating. Really clean. Above average breakfast. Comfy beds. I now measure other hotels that we stay in against this one and most disappoint in the comparison.

Nice location, very friendly staff, and very clean rooms! They have an awesome free breakfast. Everything was really good. The whole hotel looks like it was recently remodeled. Everything was in great shape

Not so comfy and super noisy! However that’s attributed to inconsiderate guest. People tend to treat their hotel stays like it’s free range to run amuck rather than a second home. Location was good though. Will try Holiday Inn on next visit.

We recently had a sudden trip to Alton, Illinois for a funeral. Usually we stay in the Holiday Inn but discovered that the Best Western was newer and considerably cheaper, no brainer!
It is a great little hotel, friendly wait staff, fresh modern rooms and the breakfast was pretty decent. Plus free Wi-Fi and a pool that is coming soon.
I loved everything but the pillows. Ay, my aching neck. These were some sort of synthetic which did not mold to my needs.
Next time, I would bring my own and probably sleep a bit better!
