The Cannoli I had was the best I’ve ever had anywhere by a LONG shot and the Peanut butter Bites were pretty great too– think a larger version of a buckeye.

What a great little bakery. We are so lucky to have this little gem in downtown Alton. I bought several of their salted caramel chocolate pecan pies to ship to my customers for Christmas two years in a row. Trust me they all think it’s a slice of heaven and it is!

What a cute shop! I was overwhelmed by all the yummy choices. The owner was so sweet, and they serve Thousand Hills coffee.

I have not been to the store, but plan to make it out that way soon. I did however try some that were brought to class and they were amazing.

Love this place! Every time I go here the owner is super helpful and nice. Not only is her nook adorable, her desserts are amazing! Seriously, if you’re in the area stop by. You’ll want one of each!

Having grown up in Alton food choices are limited. Majority of the time you’re stuck with sub par bar food and fast food(gross!). And when it comes to pastries there has only been one bakery around town. Or you’re making a trip to the grocery store for a pie with a mile long list of ingredients that would keep a body stiff decades after having passed. So having LuciAnna’s is a spectacular addiction to my little home town! Alexandra is very sweet(no pun intended) and is always helpful in answering questions. She studied French baking in Vancouver, British Columbia and keeps with that theme for most of her pastries. Her bakery offers coffee and tea and lots of room to sit down and enjoy your sugary baked temptress. Modestly decorated with lots of soft natural light coming in through the windows. Prices might be off putting to some at first. But consider this, once you bite into your purchase you’ll taste the quality ingredients. Baked with lots of love, labor, and know how. They are popular for their Goshen(spelling) which looks like a cinnamon roll, but balances more on the savory aspect than the sweet! And if you’re a pecan pie fan around town in the fall, you must get a slice. Her buttery salty pecan pie is perfection and will make you forget all of your troubles. Try anything and you will most certainly be pleased!

Always searching for these folks at the farmers market. Amazing quality and great service. Everything is good but my fave has got to be the baklava!

We just moved here from Chicago, and this was just the bakery I was looking for. The pastries are delicious, and not cloying and boring like many places. My favorite is the Chocolate Chunk Spice cookie, which has large pieces of Belgian chocolate in it, cinnamon, nutmeg and other spices. Absolutely delightful. We also ordered brioche rolls which were heavenly. Great coffee too, and a lovely tea selection. Just the right type of place for a cup of coffee and a touch of sweet. Absolutely recommended.

LuciAnna’s is like those tea houses that seem to collect Stepford Wives. It has a nice smallish interior with a reading room. I was not here long, I did not see tables but I came in a side door. The interior is nice as well as clean. Think tourist trap. I am not sure how they survive. This is apparently a pretty high rent area of Alton, near several antique, junk, pawn stores, and bars. Perhaps they get enough traffice from being the only non-bar nearby. They have a limited inventory for a pastry shop. Like 6 items displayed. It was like 9am when I was there. It did not seem like they were sold out either? There were several fruit /chocolate themed bars. They looked good, but not really my thing. I selected 2 Goshens for my son and me. They are like a cinnamon roll on brioche bread. It made them a little less sweet which was a pleasant change. Although the topping was made up sugary little chips that break of as you eat it. This makes for a colossal mess. These things also cost $ 3.50 a piece. All told I would have preferred a cinnamon roll.

Fantastic pastries and cakes. Nothing like it in the area.
