This is one of the premier golf courses in the Riverbend area. It is designed by Arnold Palmer. They are an 18 hole course, with a small 9 hole beginners course attached to it. Very easy to find and amply parking. The greens and fairways are in great shape. They have a nice sized pro shop. They do offer a full menu. The inside dining area is small, but they have a huge outside covered patio.

Pretty unassuming, but definitely a fun course to play. This course has a special place for me because I learned how to play here. The conditions are usually great and it’s one of the only Arnold Palmer courses in the area. The price is usually reasonable as well.

This is one of my favorite golf courses. The price is always decent. It is a lot easier to get to with the updates to Hwy 367 and the new bridge over the Mississippi River. Only thing that I am concern with are the greens. There was a lot of Poa Annua grass on the greens. Hopefully, the superintendent can fix this as the season comes into swing. Also, after the round you have to stop at Fast Eddie’s Bön-Aire.

What’s that noise? It sounds like an h-bomb dropping or something? Or is it Spencer Olin’s rating droping from 4 stars to 2? Oh yeah… that’s it. Devastating. Just as quickly as I dolled out the 4 stars last Monday for their great customer service, I take it right back after playing there Saturday. I’ll keep this short… 1) 6 hours to play 18 holes of golf. They book WAY too many tee times here or something… it was way too crowded. They need some crowd control or something, it’s ludicrous. 2) Old gentlemen ‘player assist’ on the 7th hole. Drove up in a cart and watched as we waited for the guys ahead of us to clear off the fairway before we hit tee shots… then told US that we needed to ‘speed it up.’ Didn’t tell anyone else, just my 27 year old self and my 27 year old friend. Did he inform the 3 groups of elderly folks ahead of us? Nope… just us… then drove on back to the clubhouse. I’m not saying that there was age discrimination going on… but it felt like my grandpa was scolding me for stealing cookies before dinner or something. 3) The course was in bad shape… sand in the fairways(?), some were rock hard and dry. When you’re better off hitting in the rough… that’s a problem. 4) 6HOURSTOPLAY18HOLES. Just thought I’d mention it again. Side note of craziness though… I found it ABSOLUTELY strange and somewhat mistifying that that same day was the Cardinal’s 20 inning crapfest of a game(which I was actually able to catch the end of when I got home at 9 O’CLOCK!!!). Bye Spencer T. Olin… it’s been fun. Have a good life!
