First Choice Emergency Room

The staff were friendly and professional, and they were calling back before I was done filling out the papers. They took care of my problem quickly.

I would not recommend this place to anyone. I have rheumatoid arthritis, fibromyalgia, and am pregnant. I went in today because I have hurt my back severely and am worried something is wrong. I was greeted by a very nice lady who was quick and efficient, however, as soon as I was put in my room and tried to explain what was wrong, I was treated as if I were a drug addict and was only there for pain meds. Let me just say that I am in my first trimester and have personally chosen to NOT take any of my treatments for pain for my growing baby’s health. As soon as I said pain, am eyebrow went up, the doctor stopped listening, and the nurse got an attitude. I was immediately told that they did not write prescriptions for pain meds there and so I couldn’t get them.
I told them I didn’t care about that I just wanted to know what was wrong and for the pain to stop. I am having trouble even breathing folks! She informs me that they can’t do an xray because I’m pregnant… duh. I know that, but I am in need of answers.
After waiting for my husband to arrive, the nurse walls in with a syringe and doesn’t say a word. My husband asks what they are giving me and she says a shot of morphine, to which I reply that I cannot take. She immediately gets an attitude and asks why not which I explained. I tell her I just want an explanation. I want to know what’s wrong, what do I do about work? She says «week you PROBABLY just pulled something»…probably?! I thought this was supposed to be a medical institution, not a game. So my husband tells her what worked last time I was pregnant and had complications and she walks out. She comes back and tells me that they are giving me a shout of the substance «ONLY ONCE!» As if I was being for pain meds. They offered no diagnoses, no solution, and no help.
I didn’t take the injection and got up and left. This is the worst I have EVER been treated, by anyone. If the owners of this establishment knee what they were doing, they would fire these two and start over.

Everyone was extremely nice, I was seen immediately and taken care of. I would never go to any other emergency room! Awesome place!

The First Choice Emergency Room is a far cry from any other emergency room at your local hospitals. The first major difference was that I was able to almost immediately see a nurse; unlike other emergency rooms where you would wait for a good hour at minimum before being seen. Unlike the nurses at the major hospitals, these nurses will take you serious and do everything they can to find out what is wrong with you.
When I had my appendicitis they were able to discovery what was wrong with me in a matter of a few hours. They then had me booked for surgery at a local hospital for the next morning and transferred me over there. Based on my previous experiences with other hospitals I know it would have taken the nurses more than a few hours to diagnose me properly. I would definitely recommend going to First Choice before you go anywhere else.

I highly recommend First Choice if you have an emergency. I did not plan to have to cancel my Thanksgiving plans, but I found myself in the emergency room on that day anyway. First Choice was close to my home and they were able to see me quickly. They were caring and attentive to my needs and supportive of me and my family. They even called the day after my visit to make sure that I was feeling better and to see if I needed anything.
