Grilled chicken sandwich had very soggy wheat bread with dry, tough chicken. The hashbrowns were nothing special and excessively greasy. There was no real butter for our rolls and cornbread, only vegetable oil spread. The mashed potatoes and chicken fried steak was great and served in large portions. Service was not stellar either. Left feeling very unsatisfied.

Really good country cooking here. I had to check out the Chicken and Dumplings here. Kristina’s son, Nickolas, gets the 1 lb Kelly Burger here and he’s 11. He can eat the whole thing along with fries and a soda.

I’m giving this place a solid 4 starts because the portions are enormous and a good value. The food is rather bland and I’m pretty sure the rolls and cornbread are heated in a microwave for 5 minutes. But where can I go get a cfs the size of a baby, 3 sides, cornbread and roll for less than $ 9? Don’t get me wrong. It’s good! Is just not the best. Add some salt, pepper, and condiments and you have a good meal. If you get the grand slam breakfast you better be hungry, my friend. I spilt ONE pancake with my hubby and we didn’t finish half of that bad boy. Sweet, friendly wait staff.

The food is OK but bland. The Pearland one is better. Not a location I will be back too and I live in Alvin. I say get a new cook and a spice rack. And real butter not the nasty oil stuff from land o lakes.

I am becoming more and more disappointed with the cleanliness and upkeep of the restaurant. The ceiling is stained and moldy and the tables are looking very worn. With that said, the food is still good.

Before tonight if you would of asked me the best place to eat a chicken fried steak in the state of texas i would of told you Kelly’s. Didnt not matter which ome you went to they all taste the same. I know this because i grew up eating at them all around the Houston area. I had to move away a couple of years ago and have missed this place so much. I would eat at other places similar to it and shake my head in shame at what they had served me in comparison to what any Kelly’s would give me. Ia have told my told my wife about this place for years. Finally i got to the chance to come home for Thanksgiving this year and the first place I wanted to take her was here. Walked in, sat down, got our drink orders and our basket of breads(which was stone cold btw) just like everytime before. We placed our order and then waited. This is the part that it all starts to go down hill. After about 15 min I get brought my house salad that goes with my chicken fried steak. Waitress tells us our food is coming right out. 20 min later she comes back and tells us again that our foods is coming out in a min. At this point we see a tray of food coming out of the kitchen. They set it next to our table and come to find out its for the party of five that arrived 20 min after us. Then more food comes out for another table that arrived after us. At this point another 20 min have gone by and our Waitress comes out of the kitchen, past our table to the area by the cash registers. Some lady in a red shirt was talking on her personal cell phone and seemed bothered that the Waitress was interrupting her. Couple min passed and then tbe lady in the red shirt got off her phone and the waitress said something to her. She come over told us her name was holly and apologized about our long wait and offered us free desert while we waited for our dinner. We declined stating we just wanted our food. Blaimed the delay on a large catering order and that our food was being made right now. She walked away and immediately got back on her cell phone. Five min later our waitress comes out as tells us the truth that our ticket was lost and the food had never even been started thru this whole process. She says it will be outmin five min. Ten min later we walked out the restaurant with no food other than my salad and could bread. I felt embarrassed in front of my family after so many years of talking about you. You broke my heart Kelly’s

Kellys was recommended by a co worker. We were greeted by a very friendly young lady. It was a very casual family friendly atmosphere. She brought our bottomless glasses of sweet tea which was perfect. Then she brought fresh hot rolls and corn muffins. Next was a nice salad. By the time we finished our salads our dinner was served. Hot fresh eye popping amounts of food. The fried chicken breast, and the chicken fried steak are to die for. Absolutely amazing. Bring your appetite, because one meal easily feeds two. She came to our table and boxed our leftovers, brought us rolls and muffins to go, and talked for a couple of mins. So friendly. We definitely found our new country food hangout. Thank you very much,

This place is awesome!!! The food is great and so is the service! I highly recommend. If you don’t leave this place with a to go box then you must have a bottomless stomach or you like to waste food. The portions are huge. I’m a big guy and there’s no way I can ever finish a meal. I’ve eaten here twice on out of town business.

Copious amounts of incredible food. Excellent service bring an appetite! Came for breakfast and could’ve split a meal. We will most definitely be back. Some additional details. Eggs are large! If you’re thinking three, don’t; order two. Ham is not salty. The biscuit could serve four people. For the unknowing, there are two types of coffee, bitter, and sour. Kelly’s serves sour. I cannot wait to go back and try the pancakes.

We came during July 4th weekend. The food was home style and very good. The biscuit was bigger than my hand and the chicken fried steak was bigger than the plate! I give them a good recommendation!

I am a regular at Kelleys since 1984 when Mr. Kelley was alive his plan for a restaurant was no one leaves hungry for a fair and reasonable price. To be real the Kelley’s restaurant chain all locations is Houston born the Kelley’s as been serving the citizens of Houston and all the surrounding areas like family for 50 years plus. Their restaurants are like walking in to momma’s house on Sunday after church asking what for lunch the park place location is like walking in to a houston police Museum and it’s very home you want a place to bring out of town guests this is the place if I could give the Kelley family 10 stars you can’t go wrong. The corporate restaurants will tear your head off on prices Kelleys fair and reasonable with good service an excellent food. Mr. Kelley’s dream and legacy lives on through all of his children.

I’ve been to the Kelley’s in Pearland off of Broadway and this one is just as great. I actually like how the interior is laid out and the customer service and food is great as usual. We came in for a late lunch, around 2:30 and there were plenty of spots to sit. The portion sizes always surprise me, especially for the price you pay. Totally fair in my opinion. I’m going to have to try the location in League City next!

We came in the morning or early afternoon and decided to try the burger and fries instead of the breakfast, big mistake. The burger itself is decent but they use shredded cheese instead of slice and do not spread it out evenly. Also the buns become soggy because of the way they stack the condiments. But the breakfast was delicious. The only reason they get two instead of one star was the service and servers are friendly and expedient.

Always good service here! You get so much food for the money… And their rolls and cornbread are AWESOME! I usually get the chicken fried steak and it’s always satisfying when it comes with 3 sides! We never have to wait long for our order either!

Bad service, bad food… bad all around !! Coffee tastes terrible and worst is the creamer is not actually creamer. The tea tastes like coffee. They don’t use real butter they use an oily margarine doused in extra lard that tastes freezer burnt !!! Chicken fried chicken was burnt and over cooked. I asked for carrots and got corn, the waitress never came back to our table to even check on us. My hubby’s food gave him the worst stomach ache ever !! Biscuits are not southern style but more like UFO ammo and all the sides are over cooked to a purée mush — low class and low quality YUCK

OK, so I normally go to the one in Pasadena, but I was vsiting my daughter and she wanted to go here. Compared to the Pasadena location, they fare out about a notch lower. The only issue I had here was that three different people asked if they could get us out drinks, and the same three asked if they could bring us rolls. Took forever to get either. After that situation, everything esle was great! Servers kpet checking in on us. Food was good and served hot when needed and cold when needed. I had the jumbo shrimp and fish plate. I’ve had shrimp before, but not the fish, so I really didn’t konw what to expect. The fish was very good. Cooked properly and hot when I got it. Shrimp seemed to be cooked until I took a bite into it. Could have been cooked a little more, but was still hot enough to eat without getting sick. Mash potatoes were a little lumpier than they should have been, but still good. I think the gravy helped out with that. Greenbeans and carrot/raisin salad both perfect. Daugher one: had a bacon cheeseburger with fries. Hate that you can’t have a choice between the potatoe chips or french fries, but all the Kelley’s charge $ 2.99 for the substitution. I HATE that they try to make all the extra money on those things. But she enojyed it and said everything was good. Daughter two: had the stuffed Chicken(stuffed with broccoli and cheese casserole) It’s one of her favorites. She also had a side of the same broccoli and cheese casserole, mashed potatoes and corn. ONly are half, but it was becasue there was too much for her to eat. Parking lot has plenty of parking space. Cleanliness, I woluld give a 3 ½ star. I saw people bussing tables, but never saw one get wiped down. Floors/carpet looked clean. I would go back.
