WOW — Some of the WORST customer service ever encountered in 30 years in the Hamptons. Rude, surly. And worse still, absolutely do n’t stand behind what they sell. I bought a defective item and the proprietor was unwilling to provide exchange, credit, or anything beyond offering to sell a replacement at full cost! Based his refusal on bogus (and hostile) position that 2 weeks was excessive passage of time despite the fact that the item broke on first use. Threatened to give ME a bad review on Unilocal (as a consumer!) when I indicated I planned to post. Shopper beware.

This little hardware store is in a row of shops in Amagansett across (sort of) from the square. Its small, the staff can be abrupt at times, but it has a lot of items crammed into it and is useful in a pinch.
I think that their prices are a bit marked up however, its a hardware store in the town. One can easily imagine that the price he or she is paying over and above the reasonable retail is made up for the fact that time and patience is saved (especially during the summer) and a trip through tourists and traffic to another hardware store is avoided.
This place has always had what I needed and I’m thankful that they are there!

HORRIBLE-​I have been in 3 times this month and each time got worse! They have no help on the floor at all it’s completely self service. The owner and the other people in the store were incredibly RUDE– I know the locals are bothered by the summer visitors but isn’t this how they make a living?

Somers Point, NJ
This store has a terrible reputation. The owner copied a key for my car and when it would only open the back door hey wouldn’t give me my money back. I asked him how I was supposed to get into my car from the back door but he didn’t care and told me to leave his store.
Most people drive into the next town rather than deal with this place.
