the women’s store, which is the original complete store before they split them up, is absolutely a cluster f**k. The upstairs is soooo disorganized in my opinion. It’s almost makes me dizzy. My mom used to work for Dillards and I had that store memorized. I absolutely hate to go there unless it is for shoes, lingerie, or cosmetics.

Dillards’s is THE department store in the Amarillo area. Sure they don’t specialize in anything really, but they have something for all shapes and sizes. I had a «nice slacks» emergency and i was terrified of the prospect of only having an afternoon in Amarillo to find them. Dillard’s had a great selection of petites and short lengths so I bought 2 «just in case». The staff was pretty nice, not quite as aloof as Macy’s, not quite as in your face as nordstroms. I’d go back for any kind of clothing/​shoe requirements as they seem well stocked in things that are basic and mostly un-​tacky.
