My family and I love the food El Manantial. It’s not a easy place to get to but well worth the extra effort. The food is great. I love the authentic Mexican favors. My favorite dish is the ceviche. The enchiladas are great, the Caldo soup is very good too.

The food was absolutely delicious. Ordered 3 tacos. Two beef and the pineapple and beef. The pineapple beef was the best.

This little hole in the wall looking place was very authentic. They had the classics like enchiladas and tacos, but they also had cow tongue and cow cheek! I had a combo of a taco with shredded beef and pineapple and an enchilada. They were good, nothing to rave about though. They were decently priced for the size of the portions. I also got little pineapple empanada that were at the register on the way out and was pleasantly surprised at their taste1st. Overall, it was quality Mexican though and I would definitely go back and be a little more adventurous.

Terrific Mexican food! The chips and red salsa were home made as were the tortillas(flour and corn). Best I’ve ever had. My fiancé and I agreed that peruado beans(lightly spiced) was a better idea than cheese queso! We ate two bowls on tortillas and in our rice. Actually, we could have stopped before our entrees arrived… of course we didn’t! Our entrees were: Guisado de Puerco Rojo O Verde(pork nuggets simmered in red sauce) and Al Pastor/Marinated Beef with Pineapple! OMG! We both scored on our entrees! We ate the whole thing. We had planned on flan for dessert. but no way could we do it. We just left Santa Fe on our way home and saw the Unilocal rating on this quaint restaurant and decided to try it. No kidding, this was much better than the many Mexican restaurants where we dined in Santa Fe. Don’t pass this«jewel» up when you’re in Amarillo, TX!

I had the corn tacos with beef /a lot of oil so I probably should have gone Gordita or Burrito The bean dip they give you with the chips is delicious. This place is off the beaten path and might look a little off putting upon arrival but ok inside. Very friendly waitresses took us about 20 – 30 minutes to leave because we couldn’t find ours :) but it was nice.
