Hit or miss this is a restaurant I only hit up if I have to. Really they set the bar for mediocre service. The turnover rate is so high we can never form a relationship with the staff.

I personally enjoyed the food and service but the beautiful lady next to me did not. She became furious at the sight of, not 1 not 2 not 4, but 3 hairs in her scrambled eggs. Immediately she flip out and it ruined her morning, ruining my morning as well. So a 2 out of five because I liked but she did not!

Stopping here on my way back home from a 2 week road trip. Expecting to eat good to finish my trip. I am starving and order the banana pudding pancake with egg combo. Waited a good 15 minutes for my food. Building up the suspense for this Delish food I am expecting. I get my food. It looks okay. Still going to eat cause I’m hungry. I bite into my egg. it’s alright. Then I’m getting ready for my second bite… and I see a hair. Then another. THENNNANOTHER. 3HAIRSINMYEGGS! 3FREAKINGHAIRS. THISPLACESUCKS. I’m sorry to my waitress for being rude but 3 hairs… really.

We stopped in around 2:30 pm on a Friday and the place was relatively empty. I decided to eat like a 14-year-old whose parents were out of town, and ordered the chocolate chocolate chip pancakes. They were everything I’d hoped for! They were topped with whipped cream and chocolate chips. They delightfully tasted like a lighter version of warm brownies. The more sensible hubby got a Colorado omelette which he enjoyed very much. All in all, a very good visit to IHOP.

Food was great, pancakes were fluffy! We all had short stacks. Unfortunately they don’t give you enough butter. I ran out of coffee even in their carafe. After drinking my coffee I noticed lipstick on the other side of the cup. Gross! And they didn’t prebuss. Too bad!

Don’t expect a five star meal here, it’s a diner, plain and simple. The workers don’t get paid much and they have to make the place look presentable. Do not wine n’ dine someone here if it’s a special occasion, just come here if you want to eat food in mass quantity for a decent price. By the way, if you work here and reading this, please wipe down the seats as well. Thank you.

It’s IHOP, what did I expect. Bad smell inside, waitress coughing on everything, old & shabby furnishings. And here come the stomach cramps.

Went at 11pm, staffing was short. Half the food came out wrong, and was very poorly prepared. Not a place we intends to go back to.

The food took longer than you’d expect for only 6 tables of people in the whole place. The potato soup came out room temperature, tasting like it hadn’t been cooked. The food was kinda warm when it hit the table and had subpar look and taste. Overall it was a below average experience. I do not plan on returning.

This sad, dated chain restaurant with it’s sad, dated wait staff dishes out the java, juice, and jan-er-pancakes with efficiency and reasonable quality. It’s a place that has lost it’s love but not it’s craft.

Everything else was closed in Amarillo, so we decided to have some late-night breakfast around 10:30PM. The restaurant was not even half full, but yet we had to wait 15 to 20 minutes just to get some coffee. There were dead and dying flies in the windowsill where we were sitting. It took forever for everyone to get their food. Then, when I picked up the syrup to pour on my pancakes, there were dead flies stuck to the bottom of the sticky syrup bottle. The pancakes were cold, the food was in pitiful condition. Then, to top it all off, me and my other two family members had diarrhea for 24 hours. It had to have been the food. I will definitely not be going back to this location. It is too bad, because I have dined here for many years. This place has slowly declined and has gotten into a pitiful shape. I did not see any manager present. There is another IHOP on Amarillo’s East I 40 side. That’s where I will try next time, if I do go a next time. I am very disappointed, and upset that we all got sick. This location has a very bad reputation for making people sick. There was a salmonella outbreak a few years ago, and it shut the place down for a while. It was all over the Amarillo news channels.

Ask for Matt! He is very attentive, sweet and always smiling! Such a nice thing to have a smiling face serve you after being on the road all day! Just popped in on our roadtrip home :)

Stopped by this morning after not going to this spot in the city for sometime, you tend to forget they really have a great breakfast. Tammy our server was right on target and moving forward she gave us great service through out our stay. My coffee cup never went empty, the food had a real nice freshness to it and was hot on the plate when it arrived. I highly recommend this I Hop for a well delivered breakfast hot fresh and fast.

Service was so bad that I got up and left before even ordering my food after waiting 30 minutes for a server to show and take just my drink order. God only knows how much longer I would have waited in placing my food order. Don’t go here. Oh and the manager was yelling outloud at employees.

Stopped by this location after getting off of work early one morning. Never had a problem at this location before but after my last visit I won’t be visiting it again. I had the Colorado omelette and pancakes as I have before & went home. When I woke up I felt strange & my stomach was in knots. I had these symptoms before & recognized it as food poisoning. The next 3 days were hell. After telling my family what had happened my sister asked me why I ate there. I thought that was a stupid question. Apparently, while I was out of state from Jan. through April, IHOP had 2 cases of salmonella outbreak in the same year.
