I cannot thank Larry’s Heating and Air enough. My heater was not working during the first cold spell of the year. It would come on but then it would shut off after a few seconds. My husband was out of town. Originally I had called another business and I was told I needed a new heating/AC system which would cost around $ 6,000. They said the furnace had a cracked heat exchanger that was leaking carbon monoxide and could be deadly. Another option I was given was to spend $ 1,000 for a few repairs but that would only buy me another year then I would need to replace the system. The price of this false information was $ 69. I called Larry’s for a quote for a new system. They showed up on time and just went to my furnace and took the front of it off and began checking it over. He sprayed some pressurized air inside and then turned the heater back on. Voila! It was working perfectly again. The only thing that was wrong with it was a dirty heat sensor. He said that the heat sensor is a safety mechanism to turn off the heater if it doesn’t sense the fire. Since mine was dirty it wasn’t sensing the heat and therefore just shutting off the furnace after a few seconds. He explained to me that when the heat exchanger is cracked the fire will be shooting backwards at me-it wasn’t. I really appreciate that he took the time to educate me, a woman who didn’t know any better, on what to look for so I wouldn’t be conned again. They did not charge me a dime either! After Larry’s fixed my heater I asked my father-in-law who is HVAC certified to come check it out and he verified what I was told by Larry’s. This is definitely an honest company. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
