While in business in Amarillo this past week, an old classmate of mine that lives in Amarillo took me to lunch at this joint. I would’ve never known it was there as it is tucked in the basement of the police headquarters downtown. However, in future trips to Amarillo, I will likely eat here again. It is a simple lunch counter with burgers and fries and the like. I had a grilled ham and cheese sandwich on wheat bread. The portion was good, it came with a side of chips and a drink for $ 4.83. Can’t beat that. So, if you aren’t adverse to sharing your lunch with law enforcement, I say check them out if you need a quick, cheap, and filling lunch.
