From my very first appointment after moving to Amarillo I knew I found a good place. The ladies working up front are so kind. The woman who did my cleaning was also amazing. She sincerely seemed interested in making the experience good for me.
I need to give a special shout out to Dr. Allison and her assistant Linda. My first time seeing her my tooth was being prepped for a crown. Painless! The second time, because I’m crazy, I decided to knock out the four cavities I had while they put my permanent crown on. Through those very lengthy 3 hours of sitting there, being worked on all over my mouth, Dr Allison and Linda took such good care of me. They always ease the experience by playing what music you like. They also are genuinely interested in talking to you and getting to know you. Their chair side manners are also excellent. It is ONLY because of how wonderful they are, that I was brave enough to fix every problem in my mouth in one sitting.
Might I add, I COULD NOT get numb. 12 shots later, we finally finished. Through this very frustrating experience (I’m sure for all of us), Dr Allison and Linda never made me feel like an inconvenience and they took as much time as they needed to make sure I was comfortable.
These people treat with care. In 23 years of life I have only NOW had a mouth with zero issues. I would fly here if ever had to move away.

Be very careful when Brittany bills your insurance. She will bill your medical ins as primary and dental ins as secondary. So consequently my dental ins did not cover the claim. Due to the billing error on their part, I am expected to pay $ 102.00 for the comprehensive dental exam. Humana Dental explained to me, the claim was submitted incorrectly and would have been paid for if it was billed correctly. I now have been sent to collections. Needless to say I will dispute this ridiculous claim. News flash Brittany, I have DENTAL insurance!!!

The Dental Group of Amarillo has been a Godsend for me! When I was a child I had a terrible experience with a dentist who left me traumatized to the point that I used to get panic attacks and anxiety when I was in «the chair». Dr. Dowlearn and the staff at DGoA have been so wonderful that my phobia has all but disappeared!
The wait time is almost non-​existent, they always run on schedule for appointments. Dr. Dowlearn has been my dentist (there are a couple of them in the same building) and he is great — he always explains the procedures and answers my questions before he begins. He isn’t stingy with the laughing gas, if you’re a Nervous Nelly like I am, so that’s always good!
I highly recommend this dentist to everyone I know!

Faaaaaaast. No wait times unless you’re early. But don’t be late!!!
