My friend and I arrived for lunch at Julia’s today. While waiting for the third member of our party on the sidewalk near the front door, the owner(?) came outside and rudely asked if we were coming in to order food. As we explained that we were waiting for a friend, she interrupted and began yelling about taking up her whole parking lot. I got that it’s a small parking lot and people pick up food to go at lunchtime, so told my friend that I would move my car to another location. Before the words were out of my mouth, the owner turned her back on us as she yelled«you take up my whole parking lot every week!». 1) I have never parked in Julia’s lot before. We often see a movie after lunch, so I park where I do not have to move my car 2) we had met there the previous week, but before that had not been to Julia’s for about a year 3) if you have an issue with your customers parking in your small lot, there is a nice way of asking them to consider parking elsewhere 4) if you have only a few parking spaces and have a busy take out business, post one or two spaces for takeout customers only It’s surprising that this business is still open, considering this rude conduct has been going on for at least a couple of years according to the reviews The food is just ordinary, but the service is extraordinarily rude! Julia: no worries about us parking in your lot, or eating at your restaurant, again!

If I wasn’t a graduate student living paycheck-to-paycheck most of the time, I would buy a cup o’joe and a breakfast sandwich from Julia’s everyday! I finally had their breakfast sandwich — a sausage egg cheese on a bagel — and what was memorable was the bagel! It was satisfyingly fluffy! HAHA I don’t know how else to explain it, but, I mean, it was satisfying because the sandwich and the small cup of coffee from Café Excellencev–«jersey shore» blend lol — cost me about as much as thr same thing at Starbucks. The breakfast sandwiches at Starbucks don’t compare to the one I had at Julia’s! That coffee blend I had captivated me with the notes of caramel and vanilla. Yum! Seriously, folks — support local! Thank you, Julia’s, for giving me a reason to take a detour before heading to work in thr mornings :-)

I’ve been in a few times and haven’t had the same bad experience as the other reviewers, but it hasn’t done anything to stand out. The self serve coffee is all good and my breakfast sandwich wasn’t bad, but for the amount I paid I would have expected something more filling. Not that bad in a lunch but I wouldn’t go out of my way for it.

I see from past comments that I am not the only one who has experienced the rudeness of the staff in particular the cashier girl. I have tried this place twice, giving it second chance. Breakfast sandwich is fine but the cashier talked to me on both occasions like I am stupid and I was bothering her. Will not be going back.

Overpriced, and there’s a good chance they’ll get your order wrong. The sandwiches are nothing to get excited about, but they’ll do if you’re hungry. The breakfast sandwiches are very good, and I recommend the bacon egg and cheese. But don’t get it on a bagel. The staff is friendly, but orders often take what seems like forever. They are open early, and close to the train station if you need to grab food on the run, but they also close early, so no evening service.

0 Stars. Went in and purchased food. The food and coffee were just ok. The staff seemed to me like they were better than everyone in the place… of which there were 5 people, myself included. I walked across the street for 15 minutes and came back to find a boot on my car. Their joke of a manager or owner refused to acknowledge that he was wrong in contacting a tow truck to boot my car. It cost me an additional $ 95 to get it taken off. Most expensive breakfast I’ve ever had! I will never be back. And you can guarantee my friends and family won’t either. Good job on being rude to your patrons! I hope this place closes. I hope in the future they treat their customers with some respect and use common sense when booting a customer’s vehicle.

I just tried this place on a rainy afternoon one day and man oh man was I pleased… the woman at the front counter was very congenial & greeted me with a grand smile. I ordered the BLT wrap but couldn’t decide if I wanted my wrap on wheat or tomato basil… she told me not to worry about it and made me a BLT with half of it wheat & the other half tomato basil, without me even suggesting it… now that’s hospitable. It’s a small deli with about 4 small tables that seat pairs, but wow did I enjoy my meal; this BLT was awesome! With every bite, I could taste the thick bacon, fresh lettuce, and ample amount of mayonnaise she laid out on it for me. A great place to stop for a quick bite if you don’t mind paying a 10 spot for a fat wrap as thick as an exhaust pipe you’d find on the back of a Ford F-150. I will definitely be back & hopefully you’ll give it a try!

I’m not often compelled to write bad/angry reviews. I generally write reviews when a) I’m exceptionally moved by extraordinary feats of culinary accomplishment b) I live/work in a neighborhood and go back to the same places many, many times. This is an exception. I can not speak about the quality of food at the establishment, I ordered only a coffee. When I went to order the coffee, the cash register woman told me with a deep seated disgust, you’re gonna have to sit at the bar, you can’t sit at a table with only a coffee during lunch time. Fair enough… if the place wasn’t nearly empty. Why were you so mean? Why are you so disgusted by my presence? Are your sandwiches so good that you can be a completely rude to your customers? Why did you give me death stares while I drank my coffee? Because I disobeyed you and sat at the table anyway? Are you aware of how many businesses have been in that location and failed? Show some courtesy to your customers who said, hey, look, it’s a new, local business, let’s support it instead of going to the Starbucks or McDonalds, WHERE I WOULDPAYLESS!!! Not coming back here, good luck.
