I do not spray tan often. I go maybe five times a year, after Ive purchased a Groupon. Recently three coupons arrived at my doorstep for this location. Each coupon was addressed to one of my roommates. They all got one except me — which is pretty funny because they do not tan. Of course my roommates gave me the coupons to use. Tonight I showered, shaved, and exfoliated in preparation for my spray tan. I had not been to the American Fork location in sometime.(Sandy is by far better in many aspects– but AF is closer to my house). I stood at the counter while three of the girls behind the counter looked around. After about a minute one acknowledged me. We went through the process of her finding me in the computer. I asked her for her preference between the mystic and versa spray tans. Her reply: «they’re like whatever». She tried to sell me on additives, but finally I got out my credit card to pay the difference between the cost of the tan and the coupon. She tried to put it in the system, and I believe the system went down. She had to get some help to start the check in process again. That is when someone looked at the coupon and asked if that was my name. I was very honest and said no. She would not honor the coupon. So I left with no tan — not that I cannot afford a full price spray tan, but just the frustration of the situation. Do they not realize that what I was about to pay after the coupon was applied is more than they receive when I purchase tans through Groupon?

I was very disappointed with the service that I was given. The tour was quick and the girl helping me didn’t know a lot about the beds other then«they give you color.» I would ask questions and they wouldn’t be answered. The sales associate that I had was very pushy and when I went to sign up for just a walk in tan and get put in the system she didn’t ask to see my ID, I didn’t fill out some sort of scale for my skin type, and didn’t tell me how long I was going in my bed for. She didn’t tell me how to use the bed and said just play around with the buttons. I ended up burning along with my friend who came with me. When I watched her clean my bed before I got in, she only sanitized the bottom part and not the top. Ew. I will not be coming here again.

I recently moved back to Pleasant Grove and had went to this salon years ago so I decided to try it again. While I love Beaches beds, the sales staff is the reason I will not go back. I’ve been three times in the last month and the waiting room was always relatively empty. The bed I requested each time had at least a 10 minute wait and I was quickly offered a higher priced bed that was immediately available. The last visit I went I was told the same. I declined the higher price bed and opted to wait(the prior two I took the bait and paid extra). After 5 minutes I was told my bed was ready. As I walked down the hall I noticed not only my bed free but another of the same price waiting for someone. There was no one in or out of beds my entire wait. I feel I was told the cheaper bed wasn’t available only to talk me into a higher priced bed. I also witnessed someone getting charged full price when it was clearly happy hour which is ½ price. The pushing of lotion is another story. I clearly had a bottle in hand each time I went but was still forced to listen to what a great deal I could get on a new one. Bottom line, great beds but overbearing dishonest sales staff. I’ll defiantly take my business elsewhere.

Best spray on mystic tan around! I got the unlimited monthly pass. It saves me lots of money. Great staff, super clean & nice décor.
