I never take the time to write a review. I feel compelled to take some time to let people know what an amazing job Mortgage Educators is doing! I actually called into the office and spoke to David Luna personally. He is as compelling, witty and genuine in person as he is on the intructional videos. I am so impressed with the professionalism everyone has in the office and on the online course. They are all very responsive and supportive and all of them have taken a personal interest when addressing my specific questions and needs.
Great job guys! ;)

Can I give six stars? As a mortgage loan officer and real estate broker I’ve done hundreds of hours of continuing education. In all my years I’ve never had such a positive experience with a CE class… much less an eight hour long MLO SAFE class! Dave kept us engaged and involved and entertained… and most importantly, he helped us think through the hard questions and actually learn the material! They didn’t rely heavily on PowerPoint slides, but when he did reference material in his slides it was breaking news 2015 mortgage issues rather than «I made this presentation 5 years ago» stuff.
It feels so good to walk out of a CE class like this one. Thank you. Can’t recommend these guys any more highly.

This year I decided to attend the same continuing education class as last year. Again, he did not disappoint. The class was entertaining, but covered everything we needed to know in this new environment. He knew so much information that lenders are just now getting to us. Very impressive!

David Luna is a superb instructor. I’ve been taking his class for the past couple of years and I look forward to taking his next one in the South Bay. Even if he stopped offering his continuing education class outside of my area I would travel to take it that is a testament to how great the course is. He keeps it engaging and of course is very entertaining. Its totally worth spending a day with peers in a group environment as opposed to doing a dreadful self study online course. Been there done that!
He is also a strong supporter of California Association of Mortgage Professionals and his professional acumen is quite impressive. Thanks again for making our yearly course requirement informative and applicable to today’s complex world of being a mortgage loan originator. He has a great team working with him too!

I haven’t even started working as a mortgage loan officer however I feel after Davids class I am ready to get going. I took the class to help study for the first exam and without mortgage educators I am sure I wouldn’t have passed the first time. I will take his class for all my CE’s!

David Luna has made something we have to do (the NMLS CE) into an enjoyable experience. It’s a cross between participating in a game show and a comedy traffic school class.
He keeps the class moving along quickly and is very knowledgeable about the subject matter. Amazingly, he is able to keep the students’ attention which is a bit like trying to herd cats.

Wow, what a fabulous, entertaining way to teach an NMLS continuing ed course!
Not only will I remember terms, legal ease, as well as changes that are taking place within the mortgage industry, but more importantly, I now better understand the «gray» areas of the law that help us mortgage advisors navigate through the land mines with clarity.

I just attended David Luna’s NMLS CE class and it was a breath of fresh air. For years I have been taking the mandatory NMLS training online and had trouble keeping my eyes open for the entire class. David’s approach to teaching is engaging and fun at the same time. He doesn’t just talk at you, but rather talks through concepts with you. Great guys. I have been in business for almost 15 years, and Dave Luna is by far the most effective trainer out there. He combines accurate information, with real life scenarios, and goes out of the way to get his point across, while keeping things entertaining.

I just completed David Luna’s Mortgage Educators’ NMLS Continuing Ed class yesterday near LAX in Los Angeles.
Although I’ve taken other NMLS CE courses, I’m convinced there will never be a better instructor for this full day mandatory CE course than David’s. His resume is unrivaled having been the statewide Real Estate Commissioner in the past along with having held many other prestigious positions. He was even one of the authors of the national NMLS exam! He’s a savant with his depth of mortgage industry knowledge and at the same time a born stand up comic. He’ll keep you laughing non-​stop for 8 hours while teaching you the latest insider revisions in this tumultuous mortgage industry. He’ll teach you how to strengthen your bottom line while keeping you out of jail.
As testament to his ability, his following has gained so much momentum that I understand he already teaches a very large number of NMLS CE students nationwide. That’s based purely on his word-​of-​mouth growth of reputation.
And by the way, you should forget thinking that you might take an NMLS CE course on-​line. I tried that once. It took literally more time than taking a live course and it was a very painful experience. David Luna’s class is beyond pain-​free: It’s howlingly funny, you’ll learn more than you ever thought you might and you’ll always come back every year. This was my third year to take his CE class.

I go to the NAMB National Convention each year mainly to take David Luna’s 8 Hour CE Class to renew my NMLS License. I have taken many of these types of classes over the last 26 years and this one is the best and most informative. I always leave with fresh information that I can use immediately to help my clients. Dave keep the class moving quickly and pack in a lot of bang for the buck. This year he arranged to have our class sit in on a CFPB meeting where we could ask questions and get answers directly from a regulator which gave us up-​to-​the-​minute knowledge of the rules that effect our mortgage industry.

David is both highly knowledgeble and entertaining as an instructor to the mortgage industry. I just completed the NMLS requirements with Dave’s help. Couldn’t have been more useful, interesting and fun. If you need credits for your lic, Dave is the one to see — even worth travelling to see him.

Dave Luna presented our company with the 8 Hour CE class for NMLS renewal. This guy is amazing and informative. I have been in the mortgage industry for over 23 years and received information that I have never known. I want all of my LO’s to take this class with this trainer. Compared to Dave, the rest of the trainers are buttermilk.

Mr. David Luna is filled with tons and tons of knowledge about the mortgage and real estate industry. I attended one of his continuing education courses yesterday and so much better than doing the CE on line. He was interactive with the other professionals in the class and I retained and learned so much in a live setting than on line.
It was worth the day and I meet other professional in the class that had great ideas on how to be ethical. Mr. Luna explained the material in a way all of us just got and the group interactive and memory game was great.
This is a must attend class for CEs and learn other ways to approach your business in a professional and ethical manner.

I’ve got to figure a relative minority of loan officers are eager and enthusiastic about attending compliance-​oriented continuing education. You can count me among the majority. So when my firm first hired David for a day long workshop, you can be sure he encountered a roomful of folded arms and rolling eyes.
But fast forward 8 hours and you would see an entirely different picture. The room is fully engaged and actively involved. Which is exactly why David has been asked to make repeated visits when the renewal time comes around. We just recently completed the 3^rd year in a row with him.
David’s ability to keep a fidgeting crowd of sales people on task is impressive. He’s got a perfect mix of seriousness interlaced with humor, and his course is a well-​paced, interesting, and informative event. To say he defied my expectations — each time — would be a major understatement.
Also, he stuck around after the event to field questions, handing out business cards to everyone who had follow-​up questions. He’s accessible, personable, and made the process of potentially tedious work a valuable experience. Tough to imagine finding a better option.
One word of caution: do not be late returning to his room after a break. Just a friendly warning!
