At the beginning of 2015, I decided I was going to worry less about my hair and that I wanted to be more bendy. I don’t know about the hair thing, but I do know that after almost four months of classes at Ignite I am definitely already more bendy — and on my way to becoming more so. It took a little nudge from a friend to finally get me to try yoga, but after my first class I was hooked. Each instructor is a little different in how they teach, and they offer a wide variety of yoga classes, plus Pilates, power barre, and power sculpt. I had never been to a yoga class the first time I went, so I was nervous that I would quickly be left behind and not have a clue what was going on. My fears were totally unfounded and these classes truly do suit people at all levels, whether it’s first-timers like me or people who have been practicing for years. The instructors are all fantastic and will make you feel at home. Thank you, Ignite Yoga, for changing my life!

Having lived in lots of different places, I’ve had the chance to practice yoga at many different studios. Ignite Yoga has been one of my favorites. The instructors are great and each have their own style which helps keep it interesting and challenging. Some of my favorites are Sherri, Emily, and Alison but there are many others I’ve heard great things about but I just haven’t been able to make it to their class times. The only downside, which speaks to the increasing popularity of this studio, is how crowded it’s been getting. But if you don’t mind getting a little close with your neighbor, it doesn’t affect your practice. Whether you’re new to yoga or have been practicing for years you’ll have a great class at Ignite!

Amazed that I am the first to review Ignite. Having done Bikram in the East Coast, was very eager to find a yoga place in Ames. My review is for the Hot Yoga, which has been exceptional and I am 40+ classes in now. What is great about the Hot Yoga is that there are rotating instructors. So it really isn’t about who is my favorite or your favorite instructor, the great thing is that all the instructors have their own style, so the classes are different and you are not always doing the same as in Bikram. The studio is new, clean and well-organized. You will likely find what you want, regardless of what you are looking for and there are several classes other than hot yoga, so highly recommended.
