I love the UPS store crew, except for the brunette 30~40 ish lady with wavy hair, came in looking for a package to pick up, that lady didn’t bother to look for it(a small envelope), I asked her what to do, she said oh amazon can ship it again to you for free, called me latter, had to make another trip, I asked her what happened, she said oh your package is here now(despite it was there earlier), I was not happy, she yelled at me and said I was awful

Overall my experience was very good at this location. My cashier was Konner and she was very helpful in getting my packages sent with tracking numbers quickly. She was able to help other customers at the same time as me to keep the line short and I’m sure this made everyone else happy.

Used this UPSUPS Store(809 Wheeler St #110, Ames, IA50010), I sent off a package(Tracking#1ZW699W40287073333) on 9-17-2014 supposed to get to destination on 9-19-2014. Instead it got there on 9-24-2014, and after so many phone calls and follow ups from our side. I felt so frustrated, disappointed and extremely sad of this incidence. The package was regards to a time-sensitive court issue, and affected us in addition to the time we had to waste on this and the amount of stress it induced. Around 11:30 am today(9-29-2014), I went to the same store(above address) and asked for an explanation of incidence. Instead of being apologetic, the UPS lady was extremely rude and accused me of being rude for just asking the above question very gently, waiting for her for many minutes to look at her computer screen. When I said, the least you could do is just being«apologetic» instead of «being impolite and ignorant», she responded: «it was not me sending this package!». She ignored my response of asking her if she’s representing the company who’s taken care of this shipment. I felt so sad, disappointed and frustrated of her behavior. There were two other senior costumers in the store evidencing our conversation at that time(around 11:35 on 9-29-2014). I wish UPS was more careful of whom they hire and the way their employees treat costumers.

The only«black mark» during our recent trip to Iowa was a Gayle-special print that this UPS Store shipped for us back to California. The package arrived significantly damaged and bent, with torn packaging and a few big gashes in the print. I had a funny feeling about the advice that I received here, and I should have listed to my inner voice before I handed over this vacation treasure. Thankfully, the package was insured. However, the Corporate procedure is so far giving government bureaucracy a run for my money.
