The bagels at Andyman bear absolutely no resemblance at all to the cardboard, tasteless, often burned round objects that are supposed to pass for bagels at Dunkin Donuts. These are huge, plump, moist, and toasted exactly the way they should be. The bottom of the bagel looks and tastes just like the top, I can’t see a difference, unlike the cardboard DD things. And the veggie cream cheese has actual fresh veggies in it! Biting into one is like a trip to food heaven. It is absolutely indescribable. The staff is just fine, which is amazing considering some of the entitled, boorish jerks they have to wait on.

Bagels, coffee, and cream cheese are always delicious. Today my bagel was perfectly toasted and had just the right amount of cream cheese. Also service was very quick this morning.

The worst customer service! They don’t greet you and practically throw your food at you and don’t say have a nice day after you wait 30 mins for a egg and cheese croissant. They also keep food out on the counter uncovered with people breathing on it! Horrible!

I’ve been going to Andyman for years and never had any issues with the staff or sub-par food. Those who complain about the food offerings being too fattening or the concern that chemicals might leach into their food/drink, etc are probably the same people that habitually frequent crappy, impersonal chains like Dunkin Donuts or McDonalds without a second thought. Great dessert, bagels, sandwiches, and coffee. It does get busy at certain times of the day and the staff does their best to accommodate the customers’ needs. So they aren’t chipper all of the time and don’t have fake smiles plastered to their faces all day long. So what? They ask what you’d like and say thank you. That’s all I’ve ever experienced and is fine by me.

When there for a bagel and a an ice water trying to lose weight. I’m a pretty often customer and the staff is great to me, the owner was ringing me up and charged me 50CENTSFORICEWATER,! A absolutely ridiculous really love the cofee and bagels but the OWNERISAWFUL don’t know if I will go back. Everyone always says the owner is awful and the staff is great now I see why!

Stopped into this place on out way through the area. We were pleasantly surprised with the selection of pastries, and the freshness of our choices. And the coffee was amazing! I haven’t had a good cup of coffee like this anywhere in a long time. Highly recommend stopping by if your in the mood for some tasty treats or a great cup of coffee.

Definitely the best bagels and coffee in Amesbury! I usually make a stop once a week to treat myself to a bagels and they never disappoint. I have to disagree with most other reviews, I would say 95% of the time I get good customer service. Also to remind everyone, you get as good service as good as you treat your server. The only reason I gave 4 stars is the occasional poor service and sometimes I will be one of the few people in there and there is still a substantial wait time. Otherwise excellent business!

I had an egg and cheese on sesame bagel. It was ok, not much flavor, but about the same as Dunkin. My main complaint is that they microwave the eggs in a cheap plastic tub, the type that leaches BPA and BPS into the food. This is not as bad for healthy adults as it is for children and pregnant women. I don’t eat here all the time, this was my first time here. If I did eat here regularly, or brought my children here, I would be concerned about the way they prepare the food. I didn’t try any other food items. My french vanilla coffee was good. I agree with others that the customer service is really bad. Everyone seems to be annoyed that they have to help customers. Prices were a bit high as well.

After living in the area for 15 years, I only now discovered Andyman. I’m not sure why it took so long, because the bagels may be the best ones around. I was so pleasantly surprised! If you’re looking for a place to get some fresh-baked bagels to take home to your family on a Sunday morning(or to enjoy on-site), then this place is worth trying. It’s not fancy by any means, but the bagels are nice!

Flies in with the pastries was a bit of a turn off so I got something that was wrapped above the case. good but seems a bit overpriced. I have been in a few times and the service experiences have been very different each time. I have gotten a middle-aged woman whom was very nice and helpful, a young girl who didn’t want to stop talking and telling stories that I didn’t want to hear(but I had to because she had my food behind the counter with her and wouldn’t give it to me until she was done running her mouth), and a man who seemed like he didn’t want to be there and was put-out by having to get something out of the case. My girlfriend loves their cookies so i’m sure i’ll be back, but nothing special about this place.

Bagels were delicious and I loved the choice of spreads. Both coffees we purchased were just meh. We couldn’t tell which one was which and that’s a problem when one is an iced banana split and one is an iced almond joy. Prices were a bit steep for the bagels but again, they were good. Line moved fast but I have to echo other reviewers — the customer service wasn’t that good. The man taking our bagel order seemed put out listing what spreads they had and the woman taking our coffee order didn’t want to answer any questions. I also saw flies around the pastries(which looked fantastic otherwise) which was a turn off.

The only reason I come back to this place is because of their bagels. Every time I leave however my blood pressure is through the roof. Please figure out a new system for taking orders as your current process only confuses customers and turns what should be a 5 or 10 minute process into 20 – 30 minutes.

Poor service. Owner has to know just doesn’t care. Bought sub rolls and my husband asked where I got them. Told him Andyman. He said never again. Stale and too much bread. Back to Stop & Shop

The bagels/cream cheese and pastries here are amazing! However, I definitely agree with other reviewers that the service and facilities leave a lot to be desired– especially the service. My order was short and sweet(not even toasted!) but that didn’t prevent the cashier from commenting and making faces over an already wicked case of RBF. The blonde cashier, who was much friendlier, attempted to apologize for her coworker when she noticed I’d seen the entire exchange.

Food is pricey but marginal. Worst part of the place is the staff. The head Pastry Chef is a complete letch and regularly sexually harasses the staff. Spend your money where women are appreciated and people like Rocco don’t get to tell your daughters to ‘get a boob job.’

went there about 9 am for a croissant sandwich and a Danish with my husband went to pick up our order and they forgot the Danish so I asked the girl for it and she freak out it said I don’t have time to get that right now! So was I supposed to just leave without it. The croissant was stale and the girls that make your coffee and take your order don’t say one word to you not even good morning. Will never return because of the unpleasant staff

I struggled with how many stars to give this place. The food here is very good. From the drinks to the sandwiches to the pastries, I have no complaints. In fact, I stop by about once a week now. However, I can not give a great review to a place that has such horrible customer service. Every time I go here I feel like I am bothering the person behind the counter. It’s really reached the level of absurdity. I don’t know why these people are so miserable. Andyman’s — please improve your customer service and I will happily give you more stars. Potential customers — go for the good food but don’t expect a warm(or even lukewarm) welcome.

Excellent cannolis better than Mikes Pastry in the north end and the owner will make them for you when they run out! I have never had a cup of coffee but people seem to like the coffee from the line I wait in for my chocolate chip cannolis. I also buy a bakers dozen bagels half price after 5 when I can and the pies are great at $ 5.00 each after a holiday!

Andyman’s used to be the«go to» spot for local coffee, catering, lunch, cakes/deserts. Over the years, sadly, it has gone down hill. The inside is filthy, it matches their staffs attitude. I can not get over their negative attitude and the abuse they give their paying customers! My local coffee shop in Southie is more friendly! We started to order food, got yelled at that the girl who was«helping» us was only talking coffee orders. Sorry I’m not a mindreader, haha. Where was the«hi» and or «how can I help you?» She then went on to the next customer before we were done. When I told the cashier I wasn’t done. I got a grunt and an eye roll. Sorry, I want to give you more business. She yelled out to the strictly coffee server, «NOW, they want something else» No, I didn’t change my mind, you never asked if I’d like anything else. Lack of training issue. I really like to support local, it’s important to me. I hope the owners read these reviews. The staff needs proper training and needs a better flow for taking orders/paying for food. It would also be helpful to do some spring cleaning, the inside is dirty. After my last visit, I will not go back. Down the road on Rte. 110 is Heavenly Donuts. I’ll be giving my business to them. I know people take their«frustrations» out on Unilocal but I would love Andyman’s to turn things around and prove me wrong. I can not in good faith, continue supporting a place that is horrible to their customers.
