SO I have ordered delivery from this place and it was okay but forget going in to get anything. I walk in and a gentleman is leaning all over the counter talking to the women behind it, I wait a few minutes then look down at my phone to take note of the time wondering how much longer I am going to be waiting almost as a experiment, and 15 minutes latter they are still chatting, very aware of me waiting but not stepping to the side, and she is not asking him to step to the side to take my order. All of the cooks behind the counter in the open kitchen can also see me waiting and do not step up to ask me what I would like or tell her the proper thing to do is wait on the customer. I walked out with no food and have not ordered delivery or gone back since and do not plan to. very disappointed at the service.

Great service when you go in to order and great service when you order delivery. Parking is tough but if you want a quick bite to eat, at a reasonable price this is the place. Delivery man is the most pleasant man. The only complaint I have is with the Beef with Mushrooms should be called Mushrooms with Beef. I love the flavor of this, but I’m not paying $ 10.25 for this anymore.

The folks that own and work here are very nice. But I stopped going there even though I love and crave chinese fast food, because it’s so hit or miss. One time the fried rice is fresh, next time it’s gummy or dry like it’s old. Anything with stirfried vegetables is a gamble, again one time the veggies are crisp, next time limp and sometimes inedible. You would think a popular item like kung-pao or chowmein would be fresh every time, or on the busy weekend it would always be fresh, but no. I have had visits where I could have leftovers the next day and they were passable, other times I had to pick around the already old stuff the first day and throw the rest out. I don’t know this for fact, but it’s ALMOST like sometimes the food is from the day before, and that’s not cool with fast food. It really irks me because as a food service professional, you would HAVE to know you’re selling sub-par food, that’s not cool either. So my suggestion to them is, make it fresh ALL the time, even if you have to boost the prices or extend the wait time to do it, and you’ll get my business back.

Was in the area for an event and we wanted something quick and cheap. Unilocal led us here. I ordered the chicken chow mein/spare ribs with fried rice combo. The bf ordered the general tso/spare ribs with fried rice combo. For a Chinese takeout place, I think they do a great job — food wasn’t bland by any means and portions were very fair. Parking can be tough as it’s on the street parking only — located in a downtown type area with several shops and bars. We got lucky and found parking around the corner. Limited seating but enough for those interested in eating in, which we did. Service was prompt and food came out fairly quickly. For 2 dinners and 2 bottles of soda, it was about $ 20. I would recommend this place for a cheap dinner option for the night. We had enough leftovers from our two dinners for lunch for one the next day. =)

Jade 3 is an above average take out Chinese joint, certainly better than its Chine Star counterpart nearby. The menu offers your typical Chinese options, but the while most places do not season their food correctly, add the right amount of spice, and leave it swimming in grease, you wont find any of these issues here. The convenient location and friendly staff make this the definite go to in the area for Chinese if you find yourself here.

In the immediate downtown Amesbury area, this is my favorite Chinese spot. It’s not my first choice of food in the neighborhood, but if you’re craving some Chinese cuisine, I recommend this spot. I’m a General Tso fan, so I usually just get that but my assosiate says he likes some of the other items on the menu. They have nice big windows so the light is nice during the cold winters. Not mind blowing food, but in their category I’m giving them high marks.

Honestly the food was good but what’s making this 5 stars is the service that was given to us. We ordered delivery for the first time since moving to this area and although we messed up(unintentionally), the amazing man on the phone sent over what was missing without trouble or charge. On top of the amazing service we had already received the delivery man was by far one of the nicest gentlemen we have ever encountered. We felt exceptionally bad for having the restaurant trek over for one item but he made it seem like no big deal and made sure we were happy customers and we definitely are. I can’t thank you guys enough for the amazing experience we had with you guys!

It wasn’t horrible but it wasn’t the best either, I would have given it 2 stars but the workers were very friendly and made the experience a good one. I’m not from the area, but if you’re in this area and want chinese with the other ratings I’ve seen, this is probably your best bet.

In a nutshell, Jade III is an average Chinese take-out restaurant. There is little to distinguish it, either in terms of food quality, selection, price or style from many other Chinese restaurants in the area. Parking is on the street, but the location is such that you usually would have no trouble finding a space nearby. While there is nothing special about Jade III, it works fine for what it is — a reasonable option for take out in the Amesbury area.

Should have read up on this place before visiting this afternoon. Well, I would have given it ZERO star if it was an option on Unilocal. This place warrants a ZERO star is because of the rudeness of the lady behind the cash register. My goodness, I almost thought she was paying me to be here by the way I was treated. I stopped here because I was driving through the town and didn’t know any other restaurant to pick up something quick, if I knew my around this town, I would have left. She gave me such an attitude when I took more than 5 seconds to give her the rest of my order. I understand I didn’t spend a lot of money, but I did spend over $ 25 for my order. She threw the pen and credit card receipt at me for signature. She called out my number and just handed me my food, not even a thank you. Sure to be the first and very last visit for me.

It really doesn’t get any better. We alternate between here and China Star and think both are awesome. Yes, once in a while it isn’t so great, but when you get it about once a month odds are good that will happen. Our typical order usually consists of one or two of the following: PuPu Platter, Dumplings, General Gao Chicken and they are always consistent and delicous!

Every time I order, the food comes hot and is always delicious. It does take roughly 30 – 45 minutes for delivery, but so worth it!

Nasty. I brought a friend there who had just moved into town. It was our first time. We had a couple of lunch specials. The food was terrible, the Duck sauce was vinegary, and when my friend asked for some sweet and sour sauce to make the food more palatable, they told him it would cost an additional $ 1.50! We both also did not feel that great after we ate. I can safely say, it was our first and last time there.

We recently moved to the area and tried Jade 3 for the first time tonight. The woman who took our phone order was courteous and efficient. She informed us that delivery would take 45 mimutes, which isn’t unreasonable for a Friday night, and it was accurate. We ordered a soup(hot and sour — it was very sour and not overly gooey and thick), an appetizer(crab rangoon — very cream cheesy, no onion or scallion), and two entrées(sweet and sour chicken with pork fried rice and moo shi vegetables). Everything was piping hot when it arrived and the portions were very generous for the price. We really liked everything — good flavors, not at all greasy, good white meat chicken. We have more than enough left over for another full meal each. We will definitely order from them again!

Best Chinese takeout around. If you go in you’ll see that they’re clearly setup for takeout, but there is some decent seating if you want to eat in. I can think of only once that my order was wrong(gave me beef instead of chicken) and I’ve eaten there a lot. Their chicken is white meat breast cuts(even the fingers), beef is cooked to be nice and tender, and their shrimp is fresh. Someone stated in their review about it being greasy, my solution to that is get sauce on side or light sauce and get some steamed vegs. Bonus star for delivery to me which is a town over. So glad I found these guys!

When Jade 3 came to town I wasn’t too excited. It was the 3rd Chinese place to open in downtown Amesbury and the 2nd in the same year with China Maxim.(China Maxim has since died and become a sad dirty empty space waiting to be made into the next failing pizza place). Jade 3 also occupied the former location of Jackson’s which was the best breakfast in town. My allegiance for Chinese was always to China Star — the place I grew up with and has been in Amesbury my whole life. I finally started getting Jade 3 from time to time after it started getting some recommendations from friends. I have gotten take-out from here about half a dozen times and each time the food was ready fast and tasted good. For some reason, my stomach can’t handle their food. I always feel sick about 3 hrs later. At first I didn’t draw the connection but I have determined that Me and Jade 3 don’t agree.(Take that Jesse Jackson). Fail

Not BAD chinese but not great. The portion are extrodenarely massive and the prices are good. If you are looking for greasy food in large quantity look no further.

The chinese food is delicious and the prices are reasonable! The food is not salty and their delivery is fast. They also have a nice eatery with a big tv, although the seats arent too comfortable. Great place.
