Delicious breads and yogurt smoothies on a Saturday morning… blissss! This farmer’s market is definitely small, but you can find a surprising variety of local produce! There’s a really happy atmosphere with happy people and delicious food!

Don’t get me wrong. I like the market and fully support it. However,… if I were the market god I would do two things:
1. Open it up to more vendors. This may be Amherst’s fault, in terms of space available but they need more variety.
2. The vendors need to allow more tasting. Is this a New England frugal thing or what? C’mon guys, how do we know if your stuff is good?

So wonderful.
You want artisanal cheeses? Freshly baked baguettes? Delicious strawberries? Just-picked veggies? Check, check, check, check.
Last Saturday a group of us got a whole mess of goodies from the market and then had a picnic dinner with some wine we picked up in town. It was without a doubt one of the best meals I have ever had!

Three words: Tasty. Organic. Vegetables.
But even that doesn’t do it justice. There’s bread and flowers and yogurt and cheese and meat for those who choose to partake, all from your local growers who know their stuff when it comes to fresh local food! Availability of vegetables and fruits changes every week as growing seasons begin and end. July and August are the best times for the widest variety. It’s open from May to November, so take the time and the few extra dollars and cook seasonally and locally. Come early in the morning for the best selection and the easiest parking.

Organic Veggies, Bakery Goods, Goat Cheese, Flowers/Plants, Ice Cream, Herbs, homeopathic goods. There is just sooo much here it’s incredible. Bring a re-usable bag and a bunch of cash. It’s easy to get what you need for the whole week here. Parking tip. There is easier parking along side streets.
